-
Ducky don't despair - Maks is back, he's partnered with Melissa Gilbert, roll on next monday.
-
OK ladies, season opener is tomorrow! Looking forward to it.
-
Me too!
-
Let the dancing begin!
-
Woohooo...can't wait!
-
12.5 hours remaining!!!!!
-
three minutes and counting LOL... I'll log off to watch because DH will want the 'puter.
We only have one TV and he SAYS he doesn't want to watch but I predict he'll peek. :-)
-
Yeah...DWTS is back!!!!!!!!!!!
-
2 hours, 36 minutes
-
Hi ladies! Watching DWTS also! Hope it is a great season!
-
Hang on ladies...this is going to be a great season. Wow, great moves so far. OMG, Levy is soooo hot! Glad to see a Cuban from South Florida on the show. Go Levy and Cheryl!
-
1 hr 36 min yet
-
I had forgotten that Martina is a BC survivor herself.
-
Will be watching for William Levy - OMG!!!!!!
Martina looked elegant.....
Should be a great season
-
odie - I agree. I think Maks has some competition this season! It's going to be one HOT season!
-
Go Ms. Gladys and OMG...Jaleel can dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ruth - I had forgotten about Martina too. Funny she fears wearing the high heals. She has great attitude. Don't you think she looked great in her ballroom gown? Good for her for being on the show.
-
Jaleel, oh my goodness. Wowza.
-
Wowza for sure.
For once I agree completely with Len! It was the best ever first night.
-
I will watch every second of every show, then my favorite dance again. I record all of it and Fast forward like crazy to just the dances then see who went home, so it doesn't take forever. Last yr, before found the cancer, I couldn't figure out why I could not stay aawake and did not care less but now I am glad to see it again. Will see you all later, haven't watched yet.
-
Essa, I do the fast forward thing too! I think I used to read and watch TV at the same time. That had sort of the same effect.

Oh my gosh, what fun! I hadn't ever really watched DWTS before but did this year because of Donald Driver. But everyone did SUCH a great job. I like that famous people were shown as normal human beings, OK some with egos the size of Texas, striving to learn something new. You could see the nerves in some but to quote Inspector Gadget - wowsers!
And DH did peek in from time to time. I think he was hoping I'd fall asleep so he could change the channel but no such luck hehehe. Looking forward to next week already.
-
I loved the show last night, everyone did such a great job for the first night. Just trying to imagine how much better they will get as the weeks go on. I did miss the first 15 minutes because of my support meeting but hubby was watching it when I got home and told me how the two I missed looked and I will watch what I missed later today online.

Of course, I recorded it so DH could watch it with me when he got home from his meeting....
The first thing I noticed was in the beginning when they were all coming down the stairs, and Gladys Knight was moving so slowly it was like she was afraid she'd fall and break a hip. But DH and I figured out that while she's the oldest contestant this season, she's only 67! But she sure could shake a tail feather out on the dance floor!
Last night was a great first night!
Most impressive: Katherine and Mark, Roshon and Chelsie.
Most potential: Maria and Derek (LOVE DEREK!), Melissa and Maks (will Len ever say anything nice to Maks again?)
Hot, hot, hot: William and Cheryl, Jaleel and Kym, Donald and Peta
Funniest: Sherri and Val
Adequate: Gavin and Karina, Jack and Anna, Martina and Tony (but I give her HUGE props for going outside her comfort zone!!!!)
-
I think it will be hard trying to figure out who will go home first! All depends on the fans I guess!
-
Each week I'm gonna give my honest opinion.....please don't anyone be offended!
I thought Melissa Gilbert's outfit looked like she was trying too hard. She's about 48 years old, and it was like she was trying to be too young and hip. She has a big fan base, tho, and I think she'll have a good run.
Martina is a beautiful woman, but that dress she had on made her look fat and matronly, and I don't think she's either of those!
Maria Menounos did well, but how come Derek always gets a good partner?
I never heard of Donald Driver before but loved his performance last night. His partner, tho, that Peta, I didn't care for that big gold costume. Too out there.
Katherine Jenkins, never heard of her either, but she might just become a household name!
Oh, Jaleel. He was great. And I have always, always, loved his partner, Kym Johnson, she's the sweetest, and I absolutely loved her costume last night. Beautiful.
-
Did Len and Maks have some sort of difference of opinion at some point in time? Is there a reason Len doesn't seem to like him?

Oh, one more thing.....I'm not a fan of the "tweets" they're putting at the bottom of the screen. It clutters the screen up, and it's pointless. I don't know who Joe Shmoe or anyone else who's twittering and I don't care to read their remarks.
-
Ginger, near the end of last season Macs didn't like something Len said and they exchanged words. Macs really lost his cool and things got really tense. Don't remember well enough to try to quote but fans were even speculating that Macs wouldn't be back this season.
-
Aha, thanks.
Martina's dress was horrendous! Who ever chose that should be shot. It was a fashion tragedy. It even made her look like her butt was slung low. This is a physically fit woman. The mesh was too light and made the contrast not sharp enough. The side panels were too low. It made her look straight up and down and there is no reason for that. It could hav e been a beautiful dress!
And that is what I think of that! So there.
