Uterus wall bulky-7mm thick

Hello,
My Mom was diagnosed with BC in Feb 2006.She had 4 adriamycin,4 taxol and a year of Herceptin..(which she finished in June 2007)Yestarday she had her mammogram(for the left breast..right breast is removed),chest xray,and ultrasound of liver,spleen,cervix,and uterus.Everything seems fine but the report says that the uterus wall is bulky-7mm thick(normal is 5mm) and she needs to get biopsy done.

Before BC was diagnosed when she got her mammo and ultrasound done in Jan 2006 the uterus lining was 7mm and they found tumor in the breast.They were more concerned with breast rather than uterus then.

Had a Question-Is this common after all the treatment she has undergone or is there something to worry.She does not have any vaginal bleeding or so and she is 65years old.If any of the ladies had the same problem???

I had the same thing. I was on Tamoxifen for a year so I had a routine vaginal ultrasound. They noticed a thickening and sent me to a doc for a D&C. It was nothing. A lot of worry... but that's all. I bet your Mom will be just fine, but they do need to follow all the steps to make sure.
