I know that this is a bit late, but I have been seeing Dr. Michael Keefe who is with Dr. Mastriani's office in Latham.  I have been unofficially dx with IBC.  Decided to do treatment without all the invasive procedures and tests.  Had the FNA and Core Bx, and then a port put in, together with all of the CAT, PET, MRIs etc.  After 4 1/2 months of neoadjuvant tx, dose dense, every two weeks, together with herceptin every week, I finally had a bilateral mastectomy, and will start dose dense radiation to the entire chest wall soon (as soon as I get my last drainage tube out), then I get herceptin for another year, and then hopefully hormonal tx.  Symptoms were itching and pain early on.  Then I had a pea sized indented area (kind of like cellulite) that I could only see when I leaned forward (its in my left breast 2:00 position.)  Anyways in a matter of weeks, it went from 2-3 mm, to 1.5 cm.  Which is when I went to the MDs.  Within three weeks it was approximately 6-7 cm of involved area seen on the skin.  Pinkish color on the outer aspects and bruised appearing in the innermost areas.  and a depth of about 2-3 mm.  I took pics myself early on and will try and make a website showing it.  I know that early on, i knew it was bad, and aggressive, and was terrified that no one else would realize it.  my email is lewima@adelphia.net.  Email me if you want me to forward my pics - to anyone.  I want everyone to know about this stuff and be on the lookout for yourself, friends family and anyone else.  God Bless.  Leslie
