My SIL just sent me an article from last fall (before I was a member of the 'club') that I thought might be helpful as we move through this whole ordeal. I think it also might help family/friends understand why we often need ongoing support. It is from the Harvard Women's Health Watch, October 2006: "On becoming a breast cancer survivor"

Thx for link. That explains why I have this persistent cough, perhaps - an after effect on the lungs. have copied it and will translate it and take it to my doctor

Thanks Minz for sharing this link, wish I'd had more of this info available at the outset of my journey. Probably like many I felt overwhelmed by the dx and just "rushed" into treatment. With the 20/20 hindsight I have now I would have made some different decisions for myself.

    Hugs,

That's a good article. I don't think I would have changed my decisions, but it would have been great to have been more prepared for the things that did happen. I would have not felt such a weirdo!

Today my SIL said maybe some of the group would be interested another article from a place she's been going to for a couple of years and feels it's helped her a lot. She has not had cancer but is in a medical field and is very concerned about health, nutrition, etc. It talks about helping with back and joint pain, although I can't imagine it could help the kind of joint pain caused by Arimidex, etc. But maybe some would find it useful, especially if you like things like yoga: Overview of Balance
