OT Summer TV better than regular season

I was going to post on Weeds thread but then decided to start this one because I think there are some awesome shows on right now and I hate to see the season end. Aside from Weeds and Big Love on HBO, many of the great shows are on basic cable. They include The Closer, Army Wives, The 4400, Rescue Me, Saving Grace, Mad Men, Burn Notice, and the best one of all - Damages with Glenn Close. My TIVO is working overtime.

Oh - I almost forgot Top Chef.

Can anyone add to the list of good (great) summer TV?

I really like "Side Order of Life." It has a sub-plot with the co-star, Vivi, having cancer and doing chemo, but I just find myself liking the characters and some of the light but quirky events.

I'm also getting into "Damages," with Glenn Close playing a ruthless head of a law firm...wicked!

And like you, I love "The Closer" and "Army Wives."

Since chemo, I've become such a TV junkie!

We have been really enjoying the summer season as well. Actual well written scripts and actors to play them! What a novel idea! (excuse the pun)
