Is my screen the only one that looks different?

Mine is wider too. This has happened before and I don't know why.
-
I don't know, I forgot how the other one looked. LOL However, the other day something happened to the screen and on the left was a big white column with nothing in it. Right now I THINK it's the same as the other one.

No mine is too - I don't think I like it
How's your grandson? -
I think we just need to get used to it. You can see more at once on the page, which I think will be a good thing.
-
This screen has changed and so has the home BC page. Must be their improvements they have been working on.
-
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going nuts. It's one of those change things, you have to adjust to it. As for my grandson, he is doing wonderful. My son has been staying with me this week so I have been just loving it.
LuAnn -
Yeah, I noticed the wider format also.

Mine looks considerably different. I use the mozilla browser and there's a big white margin on the left. It looks better in explorer.
-
I don't care for it - hope its a fluke and not permanent. Used to could read it without moving my eyes too much or my head - how's that for a lazy reason!!!
-
It says at the top of the boards that the site is under reconstruction and to let them know about any problems.
-
I have this great big white empty space to the left and then the posts are up against the right side and small. Guess I'll let them know.

I had the white margin for a while. But when I signed on again it went away. Hmmmmm...
-
Shirley, mine has never went away. I contacted the bco and heard back that it should be fixed by now. Not. I'm showing almost a half white page then the print on the boards is small and scrunched up to the right. I've shut down and came back.

If you resize your browser window, everything changes according to the size of it and the text reflows as well.
-
Cheri, that would be VERY annoying!Q

Tami & Melissa posted this on 08/02:
Bc.org members,
We wanted to let all of you know that the breastcancer.org discussion boards are currently "under construction" while we prepare to launch our new site. While the boards may look different, you should still be able to access all of the same information. If you have any difficulties accessing forums or threads, please let us know.
In the mean time, thank you for your patience while we work to improve the bc.org site!
Best,
Tami and Melissa, moderators -
Thanks girls, yes it was very annoying. I'd read what the mods had posted and I sent bco a PM letting them know the problem. Just suddenly this afternoon it became full screen. It seems to take my computer about 3 days to catch up with everyone else. A friend just posted a new avatar and everyone has commented about it, but I still see the old one, about tues. I should see the new one I guess. I cleaned my computer out...but I don't know much about them.]

Hi Cherie,
I have a little laptop, with not a lot of space, and am on dialup.
I cant see youtube--I'm sure I'm the only person in the world who cant.Cant download and see much, my computer always has an EXCUSE.
And my computer's schedule is just like yours.DAYS behind everyone else.
Oh well. One day I will throw it out the window. -
Hey all,
Mine too .... but I thought that .org was tweeking their system.
I thought to myself ... this is a really funny .... here we all are trying to figure out our brains and bodies ... we come onto the boards and find that are very familiar, cozy virtual world suddenly looked very strange ... and our first thought is that is was something WE did! Well this speaks volumes to the side effects issues, don't you think?!
No it's not us this time!
Does anyone remember "twilight zone" ? ..... do do ... do do .. do not adjust your sets... "you have entered the twilight zone"! -
I'm using mozilla and when I hit "reload" then I got rid of the white margin to the left.
Overall I think the changed format looks lighter and more modern. -
Nobody's mentioned that that friendly "gal" (logo, mascot, whatever) at the top of the page is gone. The one with the face in four different sections, y'know? But on my computer she's nowhere to be found. Anybody else?
-
I still see her. Do you have your screen scrolled all the way to the top?
-
yep, she's there.
I like this new format ... not too drastic a change but enough to make it "brighter" ... easier to read. It just took a little while for it to sink in
