Hello, all!

Here's some information on a multi-center study to determine if lymphedema can be prevented by early education and exercise. No drugs or strange new surgical procedures, just free lymphedema education and a simple exercise program in exchange for your participation for 18 months following your surgery.

It's called "Randomized Study of Education With or Without Exercise and Counseling in Preventing Lymphedema in Women With Stage I-III Breast Cancer Who Are Undergoing Axillary Lymph Node Dissection", and you can find details and enrollment requirements here:

I talked with my MO because of this thread and will be seeing a PT tomorrow to see what they can do to prevent LE. Fingers crossed.
