    Hi Everyone,

I just had to reply to this tread...

I was dx with triple positive bc in 2005 at 49.  Through the years before my dx I started to realize that there was a huge incidence of bc on my mom's side of the family.  At the end of the day, there were 9 know cases of bc (including my mom and aunt) and most likley more with the great aunts (at least 3).  One of my mom's male cousins (must have) passed the gene to his daughter.  So now we are up to 15 women and two other male cousins died of stomach cancer.

I was tested for the brca gene and I was negative which even surprised  geneticist .  I do know that most brca gene mutations are  triple negative (my aunt was, but also older).  But look at my history.  It truly is mind boggling.

I guess I was just wondering what your thoughts are.  I come form an italian family (both sides).  Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
