O/T Kidney Message Board?

My sister has major kidney problems. I told her that this message board was so great and told her she should try to find a kidney message board. She hasn't had any luck finding a good one that is active. If anyone knows of one could you please post it? Thanks a lot.

Dear Laura,

I've been racking my brain since I noticed your post about a kidney message board. It seems to me that in the past I came across one either at the Cleveland Clinic or Mayo Clinic, but perhaps more as a doctor/patient question and answer and down deep in their web page productions, not on the front page. Perhaps a search under "urology/nephrology" forum or blog might widen the title search and pop up an aid for your sister. If I ever see it again, I'll try to post the name through this forum.

In 12/2005, when I was dx'd with recurr bc and liver mets, there was also an "incidental find" of unrelated kidney cancer!

At this point, I'm NED, 1 year for bc, 4 mos for rcc!

Previously, I did some resesarch on kidney cancer and found a couple websites for kidney cancer. I hope your sister does NOT have kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma), but "kidney problems" as you mentioned. But, that site may be helpful or a good reference for her.

If your sister doesn't have kidney cancer but some other kidney ailment, she may still find that webpage useful.

The most active kidney cancer forum I could find is this one
"Kidney Cancer UK (United Kingdom) at www.kcuk.org includes a forum at www.kcuk.org/vbulletin and a chat room open one hour a week".

There is a very active kidney cancer mailing list called Kidney-Onc (The Kidney Cancer Online Support Group). It's address is
