chemo herceptin and rads and new recurrence?

I'm going to have a magnetic resonance, tomorrow 'cause a mammo found a 4 mm calcification on the internal scare of previous lumpectomy. i had a lumpectomy two years ago. had chemo (8 infusions), herceptin one year long and rads. now i'm on tamoxifen. is it possible to have a REAL recurrence after all this? Is there someone who had the same experience? Please, answer, i'm a little anxious about it...even 'cause i've heard that in the unfortunate case i had a recurrence and a mastectomy, after rads i have had a reconstruction could be very difficult if not impossible...Let me know!

Sorry to hear about this. I was diagnosed 2 years ago. Had chemo, herceptin, rads and tamox for 8 months and I think it has come back in my lymph nodes by my neck.

They thought it came back in my breast too based on a mammo I had a few months ago where they saw calcifications, had 2 biopsies of the breast and both were benign. They said mine were either there before or dead cells. Maybe yours will be the same.

Now waiting to get other lumps tested as well. Doc is pretty sure there is a recurrence in my nodes. Sorry you have to go through this too. I know how stressful it is.

Thanks for your replay...in the end, my exams were ok, and I hope the same for you...let me know about your results..The fact is that we have to get used to all this stress and change our point of view of life..Now i'm serene, but I know that next time I have exams will be the same...I hope the best for you.
