Hello to all, I am new to this site and new to discussion boards. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and have yet to come across anyone with a diagnosis similiar to mine.
I was 35, had bilateral high grade DCIS (it was two primary cancers)
The left was T1, er+, pr+, her2-, 6 positive nodes.
The right T2, er+, pr-, her2+(+3,) no positive nodes
I would really like to hear from anyone who has a similiar diagnosis.
Thanks so much for all you terrific women who encourage, support and LIVE!!

Hi Tracey!
Thank you for posting. I was actually just wondering the other day if i was the only one out there with this kind of a diagnosis. I know we all have our similarities and differences & each cancer is unique but ours seem very similar! how odd.
I was also diagnosed at 35 years with 2 separate tumors (both invasive ductal carcinoma, one in each breast). the right was er+/pr- & her 2+, the left was er+/pr+ & her2- with 3 + nodes by immunohistochemical stain. the right was t1 grade 3 and left t1 grade 2.
currently doing herceptin but just informed today that my mugascan came back with my EF at 45% down from 57% six months ago so i have to stop the herceptin (boo i will miss my nap time). and apparently i have to see a cardiologist as well.
i am seriously stressing this whole heart thing. sounds great doesn't it? stressing out will really help my heart situation (lmao). -
Hi Jules, I am so excited that I got a response (well, that sounded bad - I don't mean that I am excited that you have breast cancer!!) I was only able to take 9 Herceptin/Navalbine because of a different SE. How many treatments did you get and what was the complimentary drug if any? What about your other treatments? I am 3.5 years out from my last herceptin and so far no NED!!

sounds like my own story! I was diagnosed june 06 with DCIS in right(tumor 2mm) and LCIS in left(calcifications) right was high er/pr+ 90% her neg. left breast was low er/pr and her+
so.........had chemo, blateral masectomy, (neg nodes on either side)and was doing herceptin till Aug but had to quit last month due to low muga also (it was down to 50%)
i am on tamox since jan and HATE taking it...now just went in to ob/gyn and now have thicking of uteris lining and a polpy..he schedueld me for a D&C.
I stopped taking tamox last week, and am scared to death to start again because of this!
I was 42 when diagonised last year, and still pre-meno, havent' started my period yet but only been off chemo for 6 months...
I too would love to find other like me, to compare notes!
I keeping thinking that since i have had a bilat my reoccurance has to be quite low! but my oncol insist that i take the taxmox. i really would like to quit the tamox and herceptin and try to continue living without these toxic medicines!
what are you guys doing for on going treatments since chemo? and how do you feel about it?
