My DD is ill.

Just got thru a very tiring and worrying day.
My DD rang me early today to say she could not get out of bed, could I get to her a.s.a.p. She has been having what her Dr calls 'episodes', bad pain in her kidney area, sweats, and just unable to function. She looks terrible, pale and hunched up, but as soon as the 'episode' goes, in about 2/3 days, she is up and running normally. Each time she has an episode she has blood/urine tests, which are all coming back normal, and she was starting to feel her Dr just plain disbelieved her.(I am thinking kidney stones ? gall bladder?? at this point)
Today she was very bad, when I got to her she was curled up in awful pain, and just unable to dress herself. I tried to get an emergency doctor for a home visit, but was told bring her to the emergency centre.
Have you ever tried to dress a 10stn person, then proceed to get them downstairs, and into a car...not an easy task when you're suffering from 'Arimidex morning'
Emergency Centre Dr said she had a bad back, and to go back home to bed with a painkiller, and WHY was she standing bent over!!! At this point I really lost it, had a real go at the Dr, I don't know where I was coming from, but a whole year of pent up worry about DD came out !! He looked shocked at me (well, I was shocked at me!!) and rang ER to tell them we were on our way.
After most of the day hanging around, numerous tests, numerous doctors, it was 7pm, we had been 'on the road' 9 hours. No proper conclusions have been reached, the scanners are on a 5 day week, so she can't have CT nor MRI for 2 days. She is booked for the works on Monday, endoscopy, colonoscopy, as well as Xrays, and one or other scan. They say they are looking at possible bowel cancer, or 'a little lump' on her spine. OMG.
This is the daughter who was with me all thru my bc journey, she went over and above the call to help me, so now its up to me to be with her.
She has 3 boys, 2 have moved in with me, for the next few days. SIL is 'very busy at work'. (He is next in line for a squawking at from me.)
So between trying to get 2 boys to and from school, be at the hospital for DD, and trying to cope with Arimidex myself, I am in for a very busy few days.
But, being women, we cope.
My SIL asked me tonight what he should do in the morning. I said well, after you have let the dogs out, fed the cats, emptied the dishwasher, emptied and filled the washer, emptied and filled the tumble dryer, got remaining son up, and made breakfast, perhaps he will find time to go and see his wife.....his reply??? I was going to have a lie in, it IS Sunday!!!! So, like our local hospital, he imagines a house only works on a 5 day week.

How awful! What an ordeal. I sure hope they find out what is wrong with dd quickly. No scans on weekends at all? That's kind of scary! Emergencies don't just happen M-F.
You are a wonderful mom to be there for you dd and her family. Shame on SIL for not being more empathetic. Hang in there! -
You are a great Mama Bear! I did the same for my dd a couple of years ago and she was so grateful to have a bear for a mama to watch out for her when she couldn't do it for herself. Just keep telling those docs they haven't even seen your claws yet, and they really DON'T want to.!!
Kick sil in the arse and tell him to get it in gear! along with the other child, they can all go visit mom in the hospital.
