I am really going to miss Rosie's outspoken discussion of the issues that are important to me. She says a lot of things that other people won't say, things that need to be said, in my opinion. Ellen is fine, in my opinion, but there's no one else on mainstream tv that talks about the lesbian experience of being married to a person of the same sex and having a family. I feel as if I'm not going to be represented on tv the way I was these past 8 months when Rosie was on the view.

    Amy,

I too am going to miss Rosie on the View. I am a huge fan and have been since she had her own show back when.

I feel that ABC made a big mistake not giving her what she wanted to stay. Their ratings will definitely decline and show will be too boring. I didnt watch the view regularly until she came on in Sept.

Rosie has such a huge impact on the American people (obviously or she wouldnt be the topic of so many conversations) and has done so much more than most celebrities for charity, especially childrens charities.

I am hoping she will go on the bigger and better things and that this is NOT the last we see of her.

    Amy,

Rosie has a huge platform and a massive fan base. She will be back in some capicity. She is a strong woman in Hollywood. I bet right this moment she is covered in offers.
She probably will take some time off and then find what is right for her to enter back into the public arena.

    She'll be back.

You guys are right, she will be back and she'll continue to do good works. I identify so much with her, because we hold so many similar beliefs that it's hard not to feel some of the hurt when she's treated unfairly.

Hey Amy...whaddaya think about Rosie joining the cast of Grey's, maybe as a surgeon hired from the outside to replace the Chief? That might liven things up!!!

Seriously, I like Rosie, but never watch The View. It seems to me though that if the show was intended to air a variety of perspectives, the alienating of Rosie, as representative of one faction/viewpoint, certainly dilutes the very intent of the show.

OMG, if Rosie joined Grey's I'd have to move to Seattle and camp out at the hospital LOL.

    Amy,

Grey's is taped in Hollywood so you could move to Calif and camp out. Rosie would be great in anything, I just hope she does get back on TV soon.

I will watch The View tomorrow for Rosie's last day, then I am done with that show.

Sorry to blow it for ya. I guess because I have family in the "biz" I know the truth...lol

Guess I can also stop watching The View. I was reading on Rosie's blog and watching the JAHERO video blog that Monday's show was taped a couple weeks ago..ironically enough, its Elisabeth's bday show.

I'll tune in for hot topics on tuesday to see the spin, how BW says she still loves Rosie and will miss her and wishes her the best and EH agrees and Joy cracks a joke. I'll miss Jahero more than the view.
