He had an interview at 2 pm today. I told him to call me when it was done. So around 5 pm I started to think he would call me. The 6 came and no call then 7, then 8 no call. Then around 8:30 I started to panic. He always has called me when he was going to be late. I started to freak out. I called, and called and called, and called. Finally after about 20 calls he picked up the phone and let me know that he was still in the interview. By this time my daughter was crying, I was freaking out and calling my mom. I imagined him dead in the street. I hope I did not blow the interivew for him. We need the money so bad. Were not sure how we are going to make rent this month. We are desperate. Please keep you fingers crossed for him.

Surely not! If they were still talking after all that time, they'd at least taken a bathroom break if not dinner as well. so by then they were getting to be buddies!
Have my fingers crossed for you both---keep yours crossed for my son! He's looking too!

That's a lonnnng interview. Must be because it was going well. Of course you were worried. I'm sure that your calls didn't blow it. If that's not the job for him tho, maybe he can find one with more respect for people's time.
    Take care,

Surely he had the phone on silent or vibrate so it wouldn't interrupt the interview - don't worry that you ruines anything.

Hope he gets it if he wants it!!

I agree, an interview that long is a darn good sign! I wouldn't sweat it, besides he really should have had the phone on silent which means he is the only one that knew you called.

Turned out no. He did not get the job but thank you for all the kind thoughts. The guy really did not have a job to fill. He called back and told my bf that he decided not to hire anyone and was going to try and do the job by himself. So I don't know maybe it was me but it sounds more like there was no job to begin with. We really needed the money but Im confident that something better will come for my BF. My fingers are crossed for your son iodine.

That sure was a long interview for no job. And frankly, I would walk out of any place that couldn't do a decent job interview in 2 hours or less. I've sat in on many interviews where I currently work and you can get a good feel for a person within the first 30 minutes. After that, it is mostly checking their references and qualifcations they listed on the resume and job application, background checks, drug screening, etc.

Most jobs start you with a 30 day probation period so if you lied about being able to do the job or your experience it will show up and they will let you go then.
