rip off on bra

I just found out I was completely overcharged for my most recent mastectomy bra. I found one I really liked at a store I had not been to before, and figured it might be a little overpriced, but later found out it was double the price of most other stores. This wasn't even a store that bills insurance for you. I called them & innocently asked if I may have been over charged. She looked it up & said no. I told them it was double what others charge, she said 'that's the price' ... I told her I won't be back.
I feel I need to do more to prevent other more innocent people from getting ripped off. It particulary disturbs me because the breast center at the hosptial where I work has flyers there for their store.
Any suggestions about how to handle this?

Not going back is probably the best thing to do.
I bought some bras at a lingerie shop that was pretty expensive. When I looked online they were almost twice what the online place would have charged.
But the shop had a fitter who didn't bat an eye helping me in my sorry state. I was able to try several different models on and walked out feeling about 100% better.
They didn't bill my insurance but the receipt had all the right codes and when I submitted it it sailed right through.
If this place gave you a receipt with the numbers then why can't you just submit the claim yourself? You got a new pretty bra, enjoy it! -
Well, Hassie, bummer! I'd talk to the breast center folks about your experience and see if they'll consider removing the fliers so others don't have your experience. (And on the other hand, I agree with Rose that a good fitter is worth her fee -- I've spent more than I needed to on some items just because I wanted/needed the expertise and the compassion )
Another thing you might do is find the Better Business Bureau web site for your area and check out this store's standing with the BBB. They'll help you file a complaint if you'd like to try for a price reduction based on documenting the price at other comparable stores. Or you may find there are already unsettled complaints, which could give you more ammunition when you go to the breast center about it.
I do agree it's outrageous for any store to take advantage of the vulnerability of a woman who's dealing with BC. I've had it happen to me with a fitter who was more interesteed in reducing her stock-on-hand than with making sure I had a bra that would work for me. Humiliating!
Let us know what happens,

thanks for the views. I am amazed they are still in business. I had fittings at 2 other places, and this one did no better job than the others, maybe not as good. So, apparently I wasn't paying for customer service.
But now I at least know the others are fair & very reasonbly priced.
