Yes to those who asked, I am still finding loving homes for your unused items, I do not charge for shipping.. so please pm me and I will give you my address and phone number if you have any questions..

I think you could sew or knit a cover for forms that would be closer for the African American women.. just an idea

Thank you to all who help those less fortunate...

Happy New Year.. just an update with the new year.. I have inventoried and am in need of forms... my supply is getting VERY low, so if you received a new one, or two, please send the unused ones on so others with little or no insurance can have forms, I have bra's and hats, a few swim suits and forms too..

    thank you for helping others..

Hi. I am new to this chat. ..new to BC... Just awaiting second opinion before having to decide about whether or not to have reconstruction, whether or not to keep one breast. I spent new years day mourning. Today I found this conversation and feel cheered by the good works and good sentiments of all the women sharing...and getting on with life.. thank you for keeping this terrific project going. And for lightening my heart today.

I am still wearing my first, and only pair, but I do have a couple of those compression tank-tops.  I didn't like them, and never wore them, because the velcro down the front bothered me, but they are the really good ones, and I hate to see them go to waste.

I also have a brand new wig, never worn, in it's box. It's a good wig, just not my style.  I couldn't return it , and I hated to throw it away.  Seems like such a waste.  I think I still have a few hats, I didn't wear.  One was a 'kangaroo',..just didh't look good on me.

This stuff is so expensive, you hate to toss it.   Do you think anybody would want these things?  Let me know.

Ok, there we are...I have a practically brand new external prosthesis - I got it like a month before dx's with mets and the D is now a small B so I cannot use it.  It is a very nice life like one.  In addition, I have a slightly smaller one, worn but in excellent shape.  I had to get the larger size as I put on so much weight, I didn't match anymore.  I would love to see someone get some use out of them.  The new one has the moisture wicking washable inserts so it is great for the summer!  PM me with info!

I have a bunch of forms and some camis... and bras. My kids like the prosthetics to play with but I really don't think they need 300 dollar yamikas! I have tried to contact the local ACS to donate with no response - much easier than shipping, if they would just call me back!

Just a thought - after my recon, I just went to the store where I bought my form - and asked. Yes, they take back forms and ship them to women in less fortunate areas/countries.

I guess not all store do that - but perhaps it would be a good idea to suggest. They could slip an informative note in the box when one patient buys a new one... :)

Thanks Lilith, I  hope more stores will do this, but if not I hope I can fill the gap. I have shipped over seas too!..

    hugs and stay strong
