Post Card request

Hi All, I posted this in the moving beyond forum, but this seems like a very friendly thread so I'm posting it here as well.

I am a 4th grade teacher and my students are participating in something called the great american mail race. They have researched schools all over the country and requested letters back. Since we are quickly coming to the end of the school year, I worry that the children won't recieve any letters in response to their requests.

I was hoping my BC sisters would help out and send a post card to my school telling a little bit about your state. We have a big outline map up and we're hoping to get mail from all 50 states. If anyone wants to help out, send a post-card with some general information about your state. If you could tell the kids about any attractions in your state, your state flower, state bird etc. I would really appreciate the effort & my children would be so excited to recieve mail. If you would like to help out here's the details.

Hi Lynell,

I just happen to have a bunch of post cards right here in my desk. I am sending one out tomorrow from Vista CA. The post card has the Carlsbad Flower Fields on it.

I will send one out from Alabmama tomorrow. Will pick up a post card while running errands today. Sounds like a super project for your kids. I love teachers!
