Asking for prayers for my daughter...
I just got off of the phone with my daughter. She just told me that the doctor took a mole off of her face that may be melanoma. She's only 39 years old. I'm beside myself with worry. Her name is Nicole. Please say a prayer for her. We won't know anything for about 10 days. She was just getting ready to accept an offer on another job, but skeptical, now. If it is cancer, she wouldn't have the time to take to treat it. I'm sure many of you know a mother's worry. If only I could trade places.... Thank you.

I will stop and pray right now. I have a friend who has had melanoma removed and is doing great- just gets more frequent checkups. Take care,

Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that the path report showed the mole to be precancerous...however, the margins weren't clean. They have to cut more of her face...wider and deeper. Another worry...for the rest of my life. For those of you who were kind enough to offer prayers, I sincerely thank you. I send many blessings back to you.

Cin:
So sorry to hear of this for your daughter. I have two daughters, one almost 33 and the other 35. I so know what you mean about the constant worry for our children - and only if we could change places with them through these hard times. I will hold you and your daughter in my heart and prayers for wonderful new results!!!
God bless,
Pat -
My daughter had a melanoma removed the year after I had breast cancer. She was 19 at the time. It was on her neck. They were able to remove it and, because it was caught so early, she didn't need further treatment. They consider her cured - but she does have to be very careful and very aware of any changes. Since then she found a new spot under her hair and had it removed. It was precancerous.
I think with melanoma you just have to be very cautious, but she will hopefully not have any real problems with it. I think when we hear the scary stories about melanoma it is the people who weren't aware they had the problem and didn't get to the doctor's in time.
Best wishes to your daughter.
