Good Song If You Need A Pick Me Up

This past January, I was lucky enough to go to a concert in which Soul Asylum was the opening act. (We were really there to see Cheap Trick.) In the early 90's, Soul Asylum was an angry young rock band. They played some of their old stuff but their NEW stuff mesmerized me, particularly one song titled "Stand Up and Be Strong." I was half way finished with my radiation treatments and, at the time, honed in on that song.
On my last day of radiation, I went and bought Soul Asylum's new CD, appropriately titled "The Silver Lining."
I like the entire CD but particularly love "Stand Up And Be Strong." I knew I'd need more strength since I was finishing active treatment and, somehow, this song helped me feel stronger.
After all this, I found out that the bands guitar player died from throat cancer in the past year or two. He was around long enough to finish the album. Anyway, I just wanted to give out the words to the song. I hope you enjoy them.
Hugs! Cheri
Stand Up And Be Strong

You might be right, you might be wrong
You might just think your life has gone on for too long.
Your knees get weak and your heart grows cold,
And you're tired of doing everything you're told.
Nothing can take away from you,
What you take and what you've been through.
Stand up and be strong, stand up and be strong
It won't take long, you can't go wrong
Stand up and be strong.
You might have to fight, you might have to cry.
You might have to cry, you might have to fight,
Stand up and be strong.
If you live in the hills, you take too many pills,
If you've lost the thrill, against your own will
Stand up and be strong.
Nothing can take away from you
What you take, you know what you've got to do.
Stand up and be strong, stand up and be strong.
It won't take long, you can't go wrong
Stand up and be strong
If you get all depressed when you get undressed
If you're life's a mess, remember you're blessed
Stand up and be strong.
You can listen to a bit of it through Amazon. It's quite peppy!
