Am I at a higher risk for recurrance?

I was dx 3/2001. Had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. I had 6 positive lymph nodes out of 12 removed and my margins were "marginal". I developed a blood clot in my lung after 3 rounds of chemo. I then received 1 more round after starting coumadin. I was initally sent up to receive 6 rounds. One duct the cancer had spread outside and one was contained to the duct. Am I at a greater risk of recurrance? I was on Tamoxifen for 5 years am on Femara now. My doctor says I will be on something for the rest of my life.

I don't know, but if you want a knowledgeable second opinion, definitely take your films and history and get a second opinion form an oncologist. Insurance should cover this.

Good idea about 2nd opinion.

Also, it's not ideal but ask one of them to run you thru "Adjuvant!" a computer program that tosses out risk numbers based on your treatments. I think it doesn't include anti-hormone treatment tho.
