Evening Prayer

Do you need Me?
I am there.
You cannot see Me, yet I am the light you see by.
You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice.
You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands.
I am at work, though you do not understand My ways.
I am at work, though you do not recognize My works.
I am not strange visions. I am not mysteries.
Only in absolute stillness, beyond self, can you know Me as I am, and then but as a feeling and a faith.

As you make your way
through a fog of tears,
a landslide of heartache
and multiple fears,

I'll remember you
in my prayers.

While God holds you safe
in the palm of His hand
and sends His angels
to help you stand,

I'll remember you
in my prayers.

Each minute you long
for peace and rest,
courageously fighting
this willful test,

I'll remember you
in my prayers.

When a ray of hope
pierces the night
and your faith is renewed
by the heavenly sight,

I'll drop to my knees
and thank the Lord
for the grace of prayer
and your spirit restored.

I went out on the hill by my ranch house this morning to put a flag and some flowers on my father's grave site. While I was placing the flag in the American Legion holder, an eagle came gliding over the hill and sailed right past me. It was like my dad was saying thanks. I was very surprised and delighted and it reminded me of these verses from Isaiah:
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:29-31

Across the shore awaits a boat

afloat

Raise the sails, held up by mast
Forget the troubles of distant

The storm will end, pull anchor

Life is an ebb and flow of constant changes.
Starting from the existence of a tiny seed
Blooming with hopeful life,
To the springing forth of a being so full of
future promise.
Who continually changes throughout the ever flowing paths of life's ups and downs!
Changing constantly in form and status
While experiencing aweakenings, frustrations, sadnesses, and a gamut of feelings,
Related to disappointments, untimely occurrences, unwanted occirences,and exciting
occurences,
Often rarely prepared for the changes to come.
Dealing with the making of new adjustments,
While letting go of the familiarity and comfort of the past.
Knowing that what was so secure yesterday was just a fleeting moment in time.
As we go through life continuing to make adjustments related to life's happenings,
Seeking to find that inner peace and happiness,
trying to adjust to each step of life's
neverending changes!

As I let go of this day, and as nighttime falls,
let my heart keep the Light it saw,
to know that I was able to extend peace and love
to those I met and to let only that become a part of my memory.
Let me take this time right now to erase
all that is less than who I really am.

Take from me my pain, my worries, my petty grievances,

Meanwhile, consider yourself part of a prayer list simply by reading these prayers and know that anyone who reads here faithfully is included in the prayers that are posted. I'll copy and paste it now which I'm sure she won't mind and add it to today's prayer for you.
