Baked Beans
4 Cans of S & W Ranch Beans or other kind of cans you like
Medium Onion chopped
½ Cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
½ Cup Light Karo Syrup
Bacon slices to top the beans before putting in oven
Salt and pepper
Kelbasa in diagnally cut pieces of about 1 inch, these are mixed into the whole thing, or some kind of hot dog or other kind of sausage....it can be a whole meal and even served without the meats except the bacon for a side dish for some BBQ your having and its exceptional for that.
In a 9 X 13 pan open (spray with pan spray so its easier to clean afterwards)...put the cans of open beans, and mix the chopped onion, BBQ sauce, Karo syrup and salt and pepper into the baking dish.
I add at times, as each time its different depending on my mood. as I might add a splash of steak sauce, worchesterister sauce, and just keep mixing in the 13x9 pan
Maybe even HOT sauce if thats your liking but I have a sissy mouth, and soemtimes not sure what guest may like.
Just before i put into a 350 degree oven I put strips of bacon on top we like lots so thats what I add.
I bake this at 350 for about an hour, as you will notice it gets hot and bubbly and the bacon will be crisp and good.
Top with slices of bacon and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
These are great for potlucks! And you can change it a bit for more of a meal by adding slices of Kelbasa or somekind of sausage in to your likings the kelbasa or other meats make this kind of into the main entree..
When I make these, especialy for an informal dinner with good friends over, I make up a few kinds of breads: corn bread, whole french bread or some bread that is for your likings.
I also addd around table as I serve this dish as its ALL informal with the big pot on the table on trivits and have baskets of bread and butter, and dishes and bowls filled with diff things such as: sliced red pepper, green onions that are whole and some chopped to add to top of beans, grated cheese..and maybe a bit of sour cream for those who might like it..
Also a tray for like a relish dish of cut up carrotts, celery, peppercios that are sliced or whole, radishes all cleaned up and if you knwo how to make rosetts with a radish do so, as its easy to do...clean your radish with both tops off, then cut like a tick tac toe that does NOT go thru the complete radish, then let float in a deaper med bowl of water filled with ice and put in fridge til your ready to eat...
I have another recipe for pinto beans, which I will add to this for anoather day plus a desert that is cool and easy to make..
enjoy this and the actual brand i really like using on this is by S&W ranch beans, but like I think i mentioned Ive even used pork and beans, but I rince off the liquid out of it, not a s good, but in a bind and not want to run to store, it works.
