Opposite Side???

Options
Had a left mastectomy,1-31-05. Since Sept. my right side(not the breast), more of where the bra line is, feels like a lump like, or prominent. Went to breast surgeon (nurse saw me), and said it wasn't breast. Had an mri of axillary portion of right under arm, negative. Went for some physical therapy (4 treatments), no better. Had an injection, no help. Went back to breast surgeon two weeks ago, and she could feel this area, didn't feel like it was breast, maybe muscle. I am having an mri this monday (this was scheduled 6 mos ago). My bra is ver tight on me (more in the area of the bra line). Any answers to this? I am soooo worried!!! HELP with some ADVICE! I was thinking maybe a Lipoma (fatty tumor)?

Thank you!

Shari

I wish I could offer some advice. Fatty tumor sounds like it's a real possibility. I hope your MRI went good today...sending B9 thoughts your way.

I had a lump on the inside of my upper arm 2 years ago, a year after my IDC and lumpectomy. I went to a new physician and she felt it and terrified me. I went to my oncologist who felt it and said fatty tumor. I didn't want to take the chance, so he ordered a PET/CT scan just to calm me down. Turned out to be a fatty tumor. Call your oncology office and see if they will take a look at it.

Thanks for your post. I am thinking on the line of fatty tumor (lipoma). Was reading up and they can actually inject steroid combo to shrink it. Mine (if that's what it is), is bothersome. Right by my bra line, and my bra is really tight. Going to call doctor this afternoon. Thank you again.

I have a little problem as well on the other side. I do know the bra is affecting me so I am using a different bra. Don't use tight bras as the lymph nodes don't have freedom to do their thing. At least that is what I feel. I am glad it is not cancer. Get the same bra if you like it alot, in a bigger size.
