clavical nodes and mets

H i all i was dx 2 years ago in Jan.I have a node in my clavical that is swollen and sore, i had a mouth infection about 2 weeks ago took 2 weeks of antibiotics and the node got bigger.I went to bc surg and she did an fna. Iam very worried this maybe cancer and if it is what is it classified as. Local,regonal or is mets?Iam hoping it is just from the infection.Anyone else experiance something like this?

Of course it could be from the mouth (dental?) infections, but what did the FNA show? Easy to say "don't worry" until you know for sure, but really, the pathology on the FNA will tell for sure. Let us know.

the latest thinking has clavical nodes as local recurrence stage 3...curable.
hope it's from your teeth. i have had nodes up and down over years.

I dont know the results of the fna yet hopefully wed. There was blood in the syringe i dont know if thats normal or not...humm...ty all ill let ya know. Hoping its the teeth actually praying its the teeth

How are you doing? what type of treatment are you having. My mom had a recurrence in August of last year, in her supraclavicle node. She has now been declared cancer free after six months of weekly treatment.

Hi, I have had 4 chemo so far [taxotere/avastin/or placebo in replace of the avastin.I had scans done and the tumor went from 1cm to 9.9 mm..The txs so far have been rough but I continue to plug along.I do suffer mentally,that is one thing I cant seem to get a hold of.I had hoped for more shrinkage but will take what I can.....JD your the best...MC where have you been my friend??...Jan ty for your reply..Girl42 good to here your mom is doing well and ty for the reply. Can you tell me what kind of treatment she had and what the Dr staged her at? I have been told I may have to do chemo forever and that Iam a stage 4.Iam a confused mess!!..Thank-you all........Dawn
