We had a very sad Saturday, we had to have our sweet 15yr old kitty (he would have been 16 on the 30th of this month) Jesse aka JJ put to sleep on Saturday. I just wanted to share the most touching thing my 8 yr old gd did, she made this Memorial sign for JJ. The words Broken Meower Meowow refers to the silly way he meowed, we always used to say he had a broken meower.

This picture of him was taken in late 2005.

I'm so sorry for your loss. They are family members and their loss is no less painful. Just know that you did right by your kitty - you gave him a wonderful home and made his stay on this planet a good experience.

Wow...kids are super little people aren't they? You have my sympathy on the loss of your fur baby.

Kats,
I am so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose one of our fur babies.
Bless you for giving JJ a wonderful life while he was with you.

Kats-
I am so sorry for your loss.
There was study just finished saying that people turn to their pets something like 73% of the time for support during cancer. I did and also know how hard the loss is.

Kats. So sorry for your loss. Losing a much loved pet is tragic.
Your daughters poignant memorial sign had me in tears...it was the 'broken Meower Meowow' that did it... its just these silly little things that make out pets SO special to us.....now I'm sat here raking up my memories of all the animals, large and small, that have meant so much to me over the years.

kats, I'm so sorry for your loss but glad JJ had a mother like you and a sister like your daughter.
My thoughts are with you.
Hugs, -
Kats---
Your cat was so gorgeous! I am so sorry for you and your family that JJ had to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I think that your 8 year old handled the situation much better than i would have handled it. I don't think i could have made that sign without totally breaking down. The little drawing of the cat is really cute too. I always think that our pets have had a wonderful life with us and we will be reunited with them one day.
peace,

Oh Mary - Alexandra's memorial just tugged at the heart strings. It was the "Broken Meower Meowow" that did it. I'm so sorry.

Kats, I am so sorry for your loss, our pets truly become part of the family. Your photo of JJ reminds me of my himalayin cat. His name is Sam and he is 17 yrs. old. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. NLK

I want to Thank each of you for your kind words. Although I have other kitties it's quiet around here because JJ was a real talker. I still find myself looking at his favorite sleeping spot expecting to see him curled up there.
Thank you all again. -
So sorry to hear about your loss of JJ. He had a good long life, and you obviously took good care of him. Making the decision is so hard, but you will see him on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. And as someone told me, cats are placed onto an angel's lap when they pass. Hope that can help you some.
