How do you go about finding friends (Women/Girls) JUST for the movies, out to eat, even trips without anyone thinking you want a "RELATIONSHIP" with them?

Judy, you could post something in your local paper. There are ads for all sorts of friendships/relationships so that might be an option for you to look into.

I have several circles of friends. Most of us are married but we do have girls nights out. I am hosting a brunch for a cooking club next week - I found them on the Cooking Light website, so I'll be meeting a whole new circle of friends. Where in California are you located?

I put a post on the getting together board. We are starting to form a nice group of friends to do things with.

    Margaret -
I live in San Leandro, CA (Northern California.)

It's funny not long after I posted this topic a lady from my "Women's Group" said she wanted to go to movies, out to eat, etc, and dh now wants to go to movies again. Go figure. I guess it is either feast or famine.

Thank you all for giving me the tidbits. I will use them too.

LuAnn where is the Getting Together Board? I have been looking through some of these to see what threads I would like to join. I think these message boards are GREAT. I ONLY wish I would have done them when I first went through BC 2 years ago. The Chatroom really helped me, but I think these would have helped me as well.

Thank you all again and I will add this one now to my favorites.

Tell me does anyone here know much about the Wagon Circle? It has over 190 pages in it. What is or are the topics in there?

Take care everyone ----- Hugs to all of you

Hi Judy, I just responded to another post of yours and then saw this one. You're not that far from me - I live right off of the SM Bridge. Come join the Wagon Circle - it's open to anyone and was formed at a time when several of our sisters were going through tough times, thus the wagons are symbolic of forming a circle for protection. There is no particular topic, but you'll find a lot of the same women on daily, offering love, support, shoulders to lean/cry on. Don't try to read all 190 pages - it would take too long - if I miss a day or two, I just read back the last two pages or so. Come join us.

    Judy,

If you click on Main Forum Index at the top of this page, you will see all the Forums you can click into. Near the bottom of the page there is a Forum call Get Togethers or Getting Together. Inside that Forum people post for gatherings in their area. I am actually going to lunch today with our group of ladies. We try to gather monthly to do something fun!
