Happy Birthday to Lago and Corinne! I hope this is a very happy day for you both!
I just made plans to go to Florida at the end of this month and California in April. Just need to get away. My husband is getting a reprieve from treatments for lymphoma from 3/month to 1/month so I hope it works and he can enjoy the Florida trip. The California trip is with my daughter.
This has been a tough year for my family and I know you all get that. I edited this as I found this great quote for caretakers for those of you in active treatment or recovering from surgery. I am more stressed dealing with my husband's illness than I ever remember feeling when I had cancer (unless I have just forgotten that level of stress). If you have a faithful caretaker, pass this on to him, her or them...
"Take care of yourself mentally and physically and don't be afraid to reach out for help. The patient is No. 1, but they cannot remain No. 1 if you're not a high No. 2."
It is snowing and just beautiful out but enough is enough!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the birthday girls!!!
Isn't every day a birthday now?!
Lago~ still curious what was meant by the "transplant" comment? Did I misunderstand something???
-
Corinne: Happy Birthday!

How true it is that, if we are cheerful
and contented, all nature smiles,
the air seems more balmy, the sky clearer,
the earth has a brighter green. . .
the flowers are more fragrant. . .
and the sun, moon and stars
all appear more beautiful,
and seem to rejoice with us. -

C-squared I'm a transplant. First arrived in 1981.

Happy Birthday Lago and Corrinne! Hope you are celebrating somewhere dry and warm tonight.
I have beautiful snow falling, and covering all the trees. Really lovely to look at, and we need the precip.

-
Happy Birthday to Lago and Corinne. Hope that you both had a great day.
Zap, so glad that you have a couple trips to look forward to and that your DH is getting a little reprieve from treatments. I guess that means he is doing better.
Chcgo... You did it. One treatment down. Way to go. -
Thanks Joan and lago!
So glad to be done with the first one and hoping for minimal se's.
Have a great Friday. -
chgogemini,
You'll do just fine. Take it easy, drink lots of water. Eat only what feels good to you.
Thanks, spunkyboobster. This was my dog when she was about one yr old. My daughter was in a B&W photography class and took it. She's a good photographer, right?
-
Off to Chaska MN for the BC snowshoe event! "See" you Monday. Have a great weekend.
-
siomenwitt we don't know......but we have a great group here to spend lots of time with while we fight the beast and to enjoy a great god deal after the hard part of the fight is done. Then we stay to lend a willing ear, heart, and hand to everyone who confronts the un-thinkable ( for me ) that was never going to happen.
Welcome.....to you.
Love & peace
Jackie

Mountains inspire awe in any human person who has a soul. They remind us of our frailty, our unimportance, of the briefness of our span upon this earth. They touch the heavens, and sail serenely at an altitude beyond even the imaginings of a mere mortal.
