4. A beginner lampworking kit and book
5. Peace & Happiness(no I am not cheating--they are figurines by Demdaco)

well first of all......."blech" is my new favourite word.....so i'm lmao!
on my wishlist is a really cute private tutor to help me with this mac laptop (i just don't get it)
and a big bag of extra salted cashews! -
I honestly and truly couldn't think of anything I wanted this year...I am just so relieved to BE here after my dx last December BUT...
My wonderful sweet daughter (she's 25 and lives in Florida) and SIL sent me a webcam...it came yesterday and what a thrill it is for me and Nathaniel (who is six and worships his big sissy) both to be able to see her and her husband...live and in person. I couldn't have asked for more.
I did tell my brother and SIL they could get me the DVD "It's a Wonderful Life" as they were bugging me to death about getting me something and I do love that movie.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL
Hugs

ok - my turn, then. I'd like to be profound and say "world peace" but after so many years of that one being unanswered, I'll go with:
An affordable single family home in the DC Metro area that cost less than $700,000 (we ARE thinking wish list, right?!)
My final DIEP revisions to be everything I want them to be.
Continued NEDS!!!
Affordable health care for our sisters w/BC who don't have it.
That I'll wake up on December 26th minus 20 extra pounds I don't need without my having to give up Chardonnay or chocolate.
The very best for each of you.
God bless -
Oh...I wish for Shel to get a PC laptop AND a really cute private tutor who brings her extra salted cashews whenever she wants them.
AND an exercise studio for MB so she can torture people in person! -
Ok...girls..you all need lessons in this, I guess! We are dreaming LITTLE "anythings you want" Little luxuries or special things that you are interested in so we can know more about one another--blah blah blah. And also, since they are little dreams they have more of a chance of coming true. Anyone remember Calvin and Hobbes? Calvin is dreaming of having a fighter plane or something huge and Hobbes is dreaming of a tuna fish sandwich. Calvin critisizes because Hobbes isn't dreaming BIG and Hobbes then walks up eating the tuna fish sandwich and makes some sort of comment about life and having his dreams come true...
Oh it's not really important but I was really really depressed for a while there and I couldn't think of anything I wanted to learn about, read about,,,whatever. And then I was talking to another BC friend and she couldn't think of anything she wanted either. Well, I just wanted to recapture the fun of thinking about an old fashioned wish list. I really did come up with some things that made me feel happy(after an effort). Maybe this is a cancer/surgery/chemo/rad side effect that no one talks about??
Because I mean if we are deaming BIG here--then I get to change my list! -
A gift certificate for weekly manicures.
A cleaning service to come in and spring clean.
A weekend away with my hubby and NO KIDS!!
I'm a Hobbes, I wish for things I know I can have. Rarely am I disappointed!
I still want my fleece shirts (DH told me tonight no clothes so I'll have to get them myself - just as well!) -
ooooohhhh! we're pretending?
i want a jaguar, a live in housekeeper, a cute mac tutor, and someone to put my clean laundry away everyday lol!
oh yeah and i want a get out of cancer free card.......even if it's only temporary! -
A pink Kitchenaid mixer. I really want that :-)
Money to shop for clothes. Im getting embarassed by my wardrobe lately. -
I wanted to add to my list- My OWN house in a great part of town, my bills paid off.
-
I want this hole in my boob to heal
-
To be finshed with chemo. I got that. My last chemo was yesterday. I wish I could wake up & find sitting on my chest a set of beautiful round, soft, perky, & perfectly match set of girls just like they looked 22 yrs ago before the birth of my daughter. Be rid of the expanders that feel like I'm carring rocks around all the time. Be a size 5 again, it could happen. Hair on my head. Most of all, for all of us to be happy, healthy, alive, living long lifes, cancer free. World peace but I don't think that will ever happen in my life time but hey, I can pray for it if I want.
-
OMG..MY LIST WOULD NEVER END IF I START..but first off i so wish i could get thru chemo without side effects and feel as healthy as i did when i had lobular cancer walking around and feeling at home in my body when i wasnt even aware of it...then i would wish for an island in the tropics with my own personnel trainer, massuese, world reknown chef at bay ...all the diamonds in the world but mostly my hubby and i to live life happily ever after....yup..thats my list. go to town girlfriends!
-
I would love an MP3 player, the leak in my roof to finally be fixed properly, and a Red Ryder BB gun ....but I'd probably shoot my eye out!
-
Gwenn....love my mixer, my sis got it as a present..obviously from someone who thought she cooks...lol..she never even opened the box...so don't forget to get all the toys that go with it...Jas I love my MP 3 player...everyone needs one..

Karilynn--I guess we're both Hobbes in a sea of Calvins--lol! My younger son is a Hobbes and my older is a Calvin. Maybe this thread should be changed to Are you a Calvin or a Hobbes??
Gwenn--if we didn't live on opposite ends of the country--I'd give you my pink kitchen aid mixer but the shipping would probably be outrageous. Are you going to be in NJ anytime soon? -
I would like a new job.....been looking but nothing yet...
some warm sweats to hang around the house...
A really nice cappuccino machine...
A new roasting pan.....
I wish that all of the pharm companies get together and really find a cure for BC....not just a treatment once you get it.....like the shot for cervical cancer....
And I wish you all have a very happy, safe, and Cancer free holiday! -
I would wish for retirement TODAY and a long exended vacation on a beautiful beach in the carribean....lots of sun and a beautiful rich tan!!
I can dream can't I????????
huggs, Sherry -
Mine wish list for today is:
1.Lots of chocolate with no calories that taste good.
2.Enough money to pay off the debt from having bc.
3.A babysitter once a week.
4.That my kids would go to sleep on their own when I am to tired to read.
5.Health insurance that did not cost more than a car payment.
6. 8 hours of uninterupted sleep every night. -
My wish list includes losing at least 20 pounds and having 2 boobs, my daughter's college tuition paid, our bills caught up, and more family time with my dh.
How's that for dreaming? -
nada nada limonada, and all your wishes to come true.
Take care,
--Hattie
life is now -
bayyore, no plans to head to the east coast soon so I guess I'll have to keep fingers crossed that Santa comes with the mixer :-)
-
To be able to get a decent job or get back to the company I left for treatment when I was diagnosed. And for this cancer to be rid of so I can move on with things.
A nice gentleman friend for me
My mother to get a 1 bedroom apt in a building that has an elevator. She has bad knees and can't do stairs too well.
My sister to get a good job which is stable so she doesn't have to struggle.
My best friend to win her battle with lung cancer. It's kicking her butt.

Oh.... Do I sound selfish? I know my husband and family are going to get me several things on my wish list cause they already have it and I have theirs too. I even ask my kids' friends for a wish list every year and buy them stuff from it. I try to shake it up a bit by presenting it in a novel way. For example, my son Josh's friend asked for a particular Yugioh card that he was sentimental about. I won it on ebay for him. Then Josh and I bought a box of his friend's favorite food(Near East rice pilaf--I make it for him virtually every time he visits--he expects it now and I'm trying to convince him to learn to cook himself now) Anyhow, Josh & I printed up fake sweepstake labels, glued them on the box to make it look like there was a free Yugioh card inside each box. Then we carefully opened the box, slipped the card inside and glued it shut. Josh and I had so much fun anticipating his friend's face and we were not disappointed.
Well, anyway, I just thought it would be fun to make little lists, that;s all. -
