Thanks for all your help. I cannot seem to make decisions. Dr. Schnipper's assistant called today and said he would be delighted to have me as a patient. That made me warm and cozy inside. I have an appointment in August. Now that I made this decision to switch, I am feel better.

A long time ago, I went once with Arlene to a very chic salon on Newberry Street called Jean Paul's. Jean Paul was unbelievable. Our hair looked so great, but it was a one time thing. As much as we loved him, it way way too expensive even then.

Hi all,



Thanks for all your help. I cannot seem to make decisions. Dr. Schnipper's assistant called today and said he would be delighted to have me as a patient. That made me warm and cozy inside. I have an appointment in August. Now that I made this decision to switch, I am feel better.

My SIL used to do hair on Newbury St.  She once won Best of Boston.  Figures I live 7 hours away...can't get my hair done by her or any free plumbing work done by my brother.

Amera, speaking of "celeb" cancer patients, have there been any updates on Kelly Tuthill?  She's a Boston news anchor, right?

Kelly Tuthill is doing great. She is on our channel 5 news and her hair looks very cute. She is very involved on several community breast awareness programs, but she hasn't mentioned her recovery in a while. It seems she has moved on. I am very happy for her. When I had a hard time deciding which PS to choose, I e-mailed her to see what she thought of her ps. She e-mailed me back in less than 10 minutes. Every so often I get an e-mail from her. She is the only celeb I have ever had contact with.----oh, there was Adam Sandler.



When Ed was getting radiation treatments at MGH, Adam's father was also getting them at the same time. His mother was very friendly. We would talk the whole time while we were waiting. At the time I didn't know her name or that her son was Adam Sandler. One day Adam walked in and started talking to them. They introduced him to me as their son, Adam. I didn't pick up on it. He was very friendly and included me in the conversation. Eventually, thick me said to him that he looks a little like Adam Sandler, and I asked him if anyone ever told him that. He smiled and shook his head. His mother then told me that he IS Adam Sandler. I was so embarrassed. I looked at him and told him I loved him... He looked at me and told me that he loved me too....He made my day!!!!

Hi all,



I just heard from Mel. She is still in the hospital and will probably be there until Monday. She was in ICU until Thursday. Now she has a room. The flap was touch and go for a while, but now things are finally improving. The flap was swollen and they had to open a side of it to relieve the pressure. Right now she is told not to move. She can sit in a flexible position but she can only use one hand. They want her to stay as still as possible. Poor Mel.

She said the the pain is being controlled nicely, but her anxiety level is naturally high. Whose wouldn't be? I'd be going bonkers. I reminded her of Atiman, but she has never taken it. That was a life saver for me. She said she would stay in touch, so I will let you know more information when she calls again.

Hi Ladies,

Wow, Viddie, your computer went berserk! I was laughing as I scrolled through all those. I'm so glad you got the fabulous master oncologist. I'm sure you will be in great hands. And my dh does love his new car. He was almost caught in a tornado and hail storm with it yesterday but escaped unscathed. A tornado came through Lake Geneva right when I was in a greenhouse with two gal pals; we had to huddle in their office til it passed.



Thanksfor the Mel updates. SO glad they are keeping a close eye on her although it sounds like a trial with the swelling. Please do keep letting us know.



Lynn I was also admiring your hair color description. I've had a box of dye handy but like Caya haven't needed it yet. There is a little gray but it doesn't show at all. It has body, just enough wave (that it never had) and my own natural color back so the chemo did me a strangely good turn in that way.



My laptop cord arrived late yesterday, yay, so I'm back in business. We are headed to Milwaukee lakefront park for yet another boys birthday party, this one with their friends. I have to make a pasta salad and some brownies so I'd better get humming. I know there were more comments I wanted to make, one of which was ROBBIN- good to hear from you gal!!! Later -- Skye
