The assurance of Jesus is that because God is with us, we do not have to give in to, sink beneath, or become defeated by troubles.  We can face them...deal with them, and in the end overcome them!  What consolation this should bring to our hearts.  Jesus taught His followers that all challenges are passing in nature.  Sickness and trouble are for a season and for a reason... Jesus' very life was for a season and for a reason.  Even His death and burial in a tomb were only for a season and for a reason.

The Lord is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the path of righteousness

For His name sake.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the

shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou

my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness ans mercy shall follow me
