Hi Everyone,

This is such an awesome site ... I read the boards everyday ... my first post today

My partner has IDC 0/14 nodes ER+ PR+ and still waiting for HER2 results. I know she has the right criteria for onctype testing, however I don't know if it is available in Canada???

I also thought I would share a website that I came across while searching for the onctype test ... Ontario Cancer Trials

Thanks again for access to a very informative site

I'm signed up for the Ontario Cancer trials actually they are Canada wide but you can pin point the Province once your on their site. I'm really interested in the quicker radiation trial and hope I can be a part of that trial. Have to go my nurse is here to clean my picc.

    Hi Ballooncrew,

Provincial Medicare doesn't pay for the OncoDx test.  Here's a link to their website (Site Admin, please don't ban me for posting a link!)

    http://www.genomichealth.com/oncotype/default.aspx

You can call them to make arrangements for a sample to be sent to them to test.  I'm not sure if they offer financial assistance but I do know they will test out of country samples.

You may have some difficulty in getting her cancer clinic to accept the results, I think it varies from clinic to clinic.  Be persistent.

It would be helpful to other Canadians if you would update here on BCO as to how you make out.

All the best to You and Your Partner.  Zero nodes is great!

    Cheers, NED
