AstraZeneca, the drug manufacturer decided to invent National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This October will be the fifteenth annual National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Many businesses are participating to raise funds for bc research and awareness.
Target and Nintendo will donate 100% of thier profits "this week" from sales of pink DS Lite hardware to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Tuesday, October 3, 4 pm ET, QVC will have an hour (maybe more) of sales profits to breast cancer.
K-Mart, with the purchase of any 'pink ribbon' item will give a portion of the proceeds to breast cancer throughout the month of October.
Younkers will have items for sale this month 'in the Pink shop' with a portion of the profits donated to bc research.
Younkers donates a portion of the profits to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer (research) Center at the University of Iowa and other major research facilities throughout the year every time you use your Younkers charge card.
Bristol-Myers Squibb and the California-based Longs Drug Stores are donating a portion of their October sales of select products to National Association of Breast Cancer Organizations (NABCO).
American Express is encouraging people to Shop for a Cure in September and October, when certain AmEx purchases will trigger a corporate donation to breast cancer research.

Available at most major department stores. Donation: $1 for every bottle sold,
American Express will donate $15.00 for every cashmere tee purchased
on any Amex Card during October.

Waterpik Awareness Showerhead
Available at Target, Kmart, Meijer, Ace Hardware (not all locations) and Do It Best Hardware (not all locations.) Donation: Waterpik will donate $50,000.
Linens 'n Things will match each dollar donation made, up to a total of $100000
Donations made at Hannaford stores will benefit the local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
For the first time ever, Hallmark Gold Crown Stores will also be offering a special collection of breast cancer awareness gifts. Through October 31

Thanks for the list. I have been clipping ads out of the paper so I can shop at stores and buy products that are making donations to bc.
