I live in Japan but my heart belongs to Melbourne, Australia. I have my bestest friend there and my heart is always right there with her. Oh and my heart also belongs to Heaven where my other best friend and my first cat have been enjoying their days without having to worry about anything.
I'd love to hear why you think your heart belongs to the place you mentioned. -
My heart belongs to Chicago because I was born and raised there and to DC because my best friend lives there.
-
I live in Dallas, but my heart belongs to San Francisco, because I lived in the bay area when I was younger and I look forward to going back there every chance I get. I also have a very dear friend and many relatives out there.

i live with mike, but my heart belongs to........oops wrong thread lol!
i live in SW ontario, but my heart is in the mayan riviera mexico. -
I live in Alaska and my heart has always lived here, even when I lived other places. I never felt "at home" anywhere else. I was like a plant that could live somewhere else, but could only flower when it was home.
Sounds sappy, but it's true. This is where my soul rests.

I live in Rochester, but I'll always be a New Yorker at heart. I was born and grew up there, my family is there and the Yankees are there, too!

I live in Kansas nad my heart belongs in Kansas - everyone I love is here (except all my cyber friends!)
My heart does like to travel, though! -
I live with my husband, but my heart belongs to Paul McCartney.
Nicki -
Nicki,
McCartney? And you quote the Stones? I'm confused.
Laura -
I live in Michigan, and my heart belongs to this beautiful state, especially to Point Betsie. But my heart also belongs to Virginia where my 2 year old grandson lives. Except this week when he and his parents, of course, are here for a wedding. I'm always home sick for Michigan when I'm on vacation in another state. Ten days is the longest I can stand being away.
Laura -
OMG! Laura, Im laughing so hard. Now tell me. When they were both in their twenties who was better lookin? Paul with his dreamy eyes or Mic with ummmm - his lips?
Nicki -
I've got to agree with you there, but I always preferred George. Paul still is gorgeous, isn't he. Pretty soon I'll be able to relate to "When I'm Sixty-Four". That's a scary thought. Well, I've got eight years to go, yet, but my dh will be 64 next year. He'll have to sing that song to me.
Laura -
Always loved Paul....
I live in Ky, but my heart belongs to CA, only because I grew up there. Wouldn't really want to go back now, just like the memories. -
I live in Alabama but my heart belongs in the Northeast. I love the cold weather and well Alabama just doesnt really have it.
Amy -
I live in Ohio, but my heart belongs to Buffalo, New York where all my friends and family are!! (But hate the snow and taxes!)
-
I live in St. Louis and my heart is here!
So much so, my ex DH and I divorced over it. We are still friends, he never wanted to live here, I didn't want to be a vagabond with no family out on the road, always moving around. I couldn't and still can not imagine not watching my neices and nephews grow up. -
I live in northern Iowa and my heart is here, but also in San Deigo, Ca and Minneapolis, mn where my sis and best friend live.
-
I live in Central Florida, but my heart belongs about 50 miles to the east, right on the coast. I want to hear the waves and walk in the ocean every single day.
Joanie -
I live in Scotland, midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow....and my heart belongs here too. Moved back into the house I was brought up in to care for my mum after her 7th stroke...God Bless her she was a treasure and I would do it all again.....this house holds all my happy memories from childhood.
-
Rena, that's very caring and also wonderful that you live in your childhood home.
I live in Southern New Jersey (and have lived on both coasts), but my heart belongs to New York (City and Long Island).
Sue -
I live in New York but my heart belongs in Florida with my dear sweet daughter and her husband.
-
I live in NW Ark, but part of my heart belongs to Kansas City,MO, where I lived for most of my life, worked, have many friends, my kids still live there, and my 6 grandkids! AND, like Shel38, part of my heart yearns for the Mayan coast in Mexico, particularly Playa del Carmen and Tulum (Cancun can have the spring-breakers!) We love to travel and this area is our favortite.

This one wasn't as easy for me as I first thought when I clicked on this thread ....
I live in Dallas but my heart is really, well "in the past" ... back when my kids were younger and lived at home, our family was hustling and bustling and chaotic, my parents and in-laws were still alive and in our lives, when we had active and fun social lives and were busy in our church ... that sort of thing. Life is good now, great really, but we're fairly new to this area, my kids both live in other states, DH works a great deal, we don't know a lot of people, etc. The "empty nest" has some great advantages, don't get me wrong, but I'd gladly go back a few years and relive those crazy hectic years if I could! That was a precious time.
With that said, I do love Big D! I'm an Okie and a bit of my heart will always be there, but there's just something about the energy of this big city that is great!
Junie, where in NW Ark do you live? My daughter is in Fayetteville, she went off to U of A in 2001 and loved NW Ark so much she stayed! It's really beautiful there! -
I live in VT and I am not sure where my heart is right now. Surely part of it is here with my hubby & youngest daughter (16) but also part is in MA where my son( 22) lives and my other daughter (18 ) goes to college. Then there's my Dad on Cape Cod and my other three brothers.
This question has me thinking because hubby & I are talking about moving to western MA along the Connecticut River somewhere. We like the the open farmland there.
Now now of that can happen until I retire which I can't see before I am 62, another 7 years or so, if we can sell this house, etc.
