Karen L's At Peace

...Don't even know how to start this...
Our sweet, loving, kind, generous, energetic, spirited, wonderful Karen L. (aka KarenFL in chat) passed today about 6 pm "...with a smile on her face," said her mom. It was a very peaceful transition to her new life where she will no longer suffer.
I just got the call from a friend. While Sally, Karen's mom, seems to be holding up, Andrew, Karen's 13-year-old son, is having an extremely hard time...understandably so...
Please pray for Karen's family and for all of us for whom this news is absolutely gut-wrenching.
With a smile on her face...that's our Karen...she will always be an inspiration to me and man, oh man, did she fight for her life...Mena...xo

Omigosh I am so sorry...I don't know what to say. Even when it's *expected* it's so *unexpected*.
Didn't spend much time in chat, but have heard a lot of kind words about Karen and now I am so sad. My heart goes out to you (((Mena))) and to all of Karen's friends & family.
As always, I hate this stupid disease.
Gentle hugs,
Peggy

Oh Mena... I am so sorry for this.
Karen sounded like she was such a wonderful person...
I hold in my heart that she is now without pain, now well again and in the prescence of God who will watch over her and who will watch over her Andrew...
But we need out angels here on earth... this disease is so unfair. So many lost... it is so WRONG.
may God help her family and friends through this time.
Love,g -
Mena, my prayers and thoughts are with Karen, you and her family during this very difficult time. It is so hard to lose someone. I will pray that she is now at peace and wrapped in the loving arms of our Lord. I am so sorry.

When I was first diagnosed, I spent hours upon hours on the chat. I got to know Karen very well. She was a wonderful person who gave great support to many. She knew how to make ya laugh too. This is so sad. A sad day indeed.
I wish you all would have had the chance to get to know her.
Sending love, prayers, and peace to Karen and her family. And especially little Andrew. Cant imagine how he feels losing his mom. 13 is such a hard age.
Tears will flow today. We have lost a great sister.

Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again
Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this world
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet
Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way to the peace
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But we won't forget
Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light

Oh no...so sad. I didn't know Karen but it's so sad to hear a bc sister lost her life to this dreaded disease. Also, how unfair for a young boy to have to deal with this kind of loss.
May God grant her eternal peace and may He protect and help her son and family deal with their loss.
May God give us all the strength we need to keep fighting this disease. Love and hugs to all her friends on this board. -
Such sad news...This disease is so dreadful. Prayers for Karen's family and friends. So unfair. So sad.

I know Karen only by what I have seen posted. Sounds like she was courageous, and nurturing to those that needed it.
Peace to her, her family and her friends -
