A day that will never be forgotten. A day of cruel and malicious destruction upon our land and our people. A day of great sadness, of tears and of anger. But out of this arose a unity of the people for the indignity of what we witnessed. A strength given us from a higher power to help in any way we could. United in a purpose to help even if it risked our own lives. Heroes of every description descended upon the scene...policeman, firefighters, Drs., Nurses, construction workers, office workers, husbands, wives, EMT's.... all with one goal in mind... to save lives from the mass of rubble which was now placed before them. To aid and assist the injured who survived. ANGELS unaware! All races, colors and creeds working side by side for one purpose. America lives... wounded and hurting but her spirit very much alive! NO ONE can kill the spirit which resides here! Freedom is what this country stands for and it will not be taken from us!
The heavens must be ringing with voices lifted to God. May our prayers be never ending as we look to him for peace and wisdom to endure what is ahead! United we stand ....GOD BLESS AMERICA.
On A Clear Day
Clear blue skies and all is right.
People hurrying to their jobs after a restful night.
Mothers walking their children along the street.
Some giving a smile to all they may greet.
Traffic edging along headed for a certain destination
others enjoying a fun day in full anticipation
a day like so many others that have been lived before
Not a thought or a hint of what was in store.
In the blink of an eye, a split second for sure
the calm familiar day was lost forever .... by an act of war
Stunned and in a daze
wondering .... was this real or only a haze
Finally the realization that lives had been lost
reaching out to others no matter what the cost
Heroes appearing on the scene from nowhere
risking their own lives because they care
The World comes to a halt as we watch the TV
Unable to fully comprehend if what we see....
is real or perhaps only a dream
who could ever think up such a scheme
Tears of sadness for all that are lost
for the families of each one that must now suffer the cost
For the angels who have arrived reaching out with a helping hand
Some losing their lives ... trying to save others ... but taking a stand
Oh God we pray for each and everyone
Will we let evil rule or will we look to the Son?
Guide us to know just what we should do
in the midst of confusion and anger let us turn always to you
For united we stand ... as Americans we are proud
We have always let freedom ring clear and loud
But let us never forget it is in God that we trust
We alone cannot fight the enemy...God is a must!
Be with us now as on bended knees
we come to you with a thousand pleas
Enlighten hearts and touch souls with your peace
So that all declaration of wars will cease.

If tomorrow all my things were gone
I'd work for all my life.
And I had had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
And I'd thiank my lucky stars to be livin' here today-
'cuz the flag still stand for freedom and they can't take that away...
Chorus
And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the ones who died who gave that right to me
And I'll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today-'
cuz there ain't no doubt I love this land, God Bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA -
well there's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say...
Chorus
That I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
and I won't forget the ones who dies who gave that right to me
and I'll gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today-
'cuz there ain't no doubt I love this land - God Bless the USA!
'Cuz there ain't no doubt I love this land - God Bless the USA!
Proud To Be American
