    Hey everyone, this is Scott, Cheryl Thomasons husband. I Want to thank all those who gave support to Cheryl thru her 2 year battle. Cheyl was the strongest person I know, and a big part of that streangth came from knowing that she had all of you in her corner! Thank you

    Just a question I am going to copy and post in another place as well.  If any of you had fills, did you ever get a pain in the shoulder blade afterwards?  This is my 4th fill and the first time I got a pain like that.  I took a vicodin and it still hurts with like a pressure building that won't stop.  Sorry to whine but my life revolves around my fills on that day.  I did however take something out of the freezer to defrost so dh can warm it up.  Can't forget my boys.

    Also, we have a young man who is very close to us, he even calls dh his other dad especially since his passed away.  His name is Mike and he is being deployed with the Navy to Iraq again.  He has 5 lovely kids, one recently born.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

    Madison, how do you ship things overseas to the troop?  He wants me to send cookies and my brownies to them.

    I have been sticking to mostly one area of the site because it is hard to type most days.  But I still keep everyone in my heart and my prayers.  Love and tons of cyberhugs!

    Beth..my mom had pain like that..and it was from restricted movement - she babied her arm and then it froze up so she went to physical therapy for awhile to help pain and range of motion...when do the expanders come out?  That should also relieve sxs.

    Scott - How kind of you to come to the Circle which was so special to Cheryl.  She has been such an inspiration to all of us with her fighting spirit and smile for everyone.  You and your family are in my thoughts.  Hugs

    Beth,

    You use the priority flat rate boxes.........same price to go to our troops (APO address)

    You will need to fill out a "custom's form" declaring the contents/amount/etc.

    The Post Office will have the custom forms

    Every box going to our troops is sent PRIORITY regardless of whether you want priority or not.........I think it is a great deal........one price regardless of weight

    I just skimmed and skipped most of the past couple of pages.  I just want to give ALL of you a big hug.  Once again, you gals, here and a bunch of other threads, pulled me out of a dark place.  I don't think I can count all the times that has happened.....something blows up in my face and people reach out to hold my hand.  The rest of this stuff is not worth our time....The love is.

    Char, on the sad day today, not the way to have an anniversary; Lori, on your chemo again; Shokk, on the news of your eyesight; Colleen, on the news you got last week; Scott, struggling over the loss of CY last week; and Deb, on the waiting.  If I missed anyone going through hard times, please blame it on chemobrain and my lunch hour, because it is certainly not intended.  As far as I'm concerned, the rest of what is going on is sidelined - what's important is that you are all holding up ok.

    hello ladies i hope this bad stuff would stop happening please girls stop this stupid stuff and hold each other and love each other well with that said they had to postpone my chemo because i have the flu my fever has ben 103 to 104 for three days now i cant kep nothing down and my whole body aches she said i might have to be put in the hospital if i dont et better in the next few days because my tumor markers wee 1550 last week and she wants to get this new chemo started as sson as possible girls i still need yor prayers so i can draw stength from all of you you all mean so much to me  love deb from ky

    I think about you everday and pray for you lots.  Geez ... I hope for a quick healing so you can get back on your chemo.  Make sure you check your mail in a couple of days.

    Madison:  I just did that today.........Mailed (finally) to your DD....Flat Rate box up to 70 pounds is $8.95 for APO.

    Scott:  How nice to hear from you..........please know how much we miss Cy and how thankful we are that she had so much support and love from her family.  Hugs to you.

    Susan - I won't learn anything concrete until my appt on Wed. I did manage to finally talk to my onc's office, to let them know that I need to have radiation, and at least got some good advice as to contacting my bc rad onc to check and see if it's a procedure they can do for me at my rad onc's office (locally) instead of going into Boston each day. I'm going to try to work through it, and spending 3 hours driving back and forth to Boston each day will not really be conducive (or however you spell that!) to that!

    Kristin - I took Warren tubing a few years ago, as long as you have snow pants (this is key for the mommies!) it's quite fun!

    Nicki - I like ANY kind of soup, and garlic bread, well, that's something I can never resist. Sounds yummy! I hope you are doing well and staying warm today.

    Margo - hope you had a good Suzie Homemaker day!

    Charlene - I'm sorry about your sweet niece's anniversary. It is just too cruel for someone to die so young. I hope you are able to comfort yourself with some good memories. Thinking of you.

    Lori - good luck with the chemo, I hope the hug blanket made you feel warm and cozy.

    Liz - you sound like me lately as far as doing a lot of traveling around, stay well

    I never got to meet your beautiful inside and out wife, or you for that matter, as I didn't make it to Pinkstock, but I felt like I knew her. She is one of the kindest, strongest and most giving women I have "met" here on the boards. The fact that she has touched so many women, and that so many women grieve her loss, is a testament to what a wonderful human being she was.

    Please try hard to be as good to yourself as you can in these weeks and months ahead. I hope this is OK, but there is a quote I love, I found it when my mom died years ago, I hope it's OK if I share it with you.

    Good Evening!  Here in Chicagoland, unless Im in a dream world or sitting at the beach - its pretty miserable.  Another snow storm hitting tonight.  6-9 inches!  Typical Monday for me.  Just threw some logs on the fire and have a great evening meal going.  Just tried some of Jasmines potato soup and its smelling pretty darn good.  The odor is permeating the campsite.  Huge salad with all kinds of things besides lettuce.  Almond or pecans, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, carrots, celery, parsley, oregeno and marinated it the finest homemade Italian dressing.  Also have some cajun style salmon steaks - cooked to desire.  I personally like it blackened.

    Lori:  Goodness, what can I say.  Really hate to think you had to start chemo again and sending big hugs your way.  I have a feeling this one is gonna do it though.  I hate the first one - dont know what the side effects will be.  After 2-3 sessions, at least then I knew what I was dealing with.

    Charlene:  Its just so sad that we all have to relive anniversaries of people we have lost.  The young, our mothers, our fathers, our sisters and brothers, our friends.

    Colleen:  Your life sounds very chaotic right now.  I hear ya about posting different places.  a piece of cake for me on the week-end, but during the week I go crazy.  When I came home, first thing I did was look for you.  Glad I checked here second.  Just cant wait until Wednesday, as I think then you will know what you are dealing with.  Your living in cancer limbo right now and that stinks.

    Slonedeb:  I pray you have some peace and that your are free of pain.  I think about you everyday.

    To everyone else:  There is no one here I dislike.  I being human have made mistakes similiar to what others have made.  If I have gotten ignored by people I have made friends with over the last 3 years - sure it hurts.  Then I think about how I may have hurt them also. 

    Just know, that in my heart, I have a special place for every single one of you.

    Neesie- Too funny that you send a box to Madison's DD today...So did I!  LOL.  Great minds think alike.  While I was filling out the little form that went on the box the lady at the PO said that when postage rates change in May (I think that is the right time) they are coming out with a new size of flat-rate box just for APO addresses.  It will be about half again as big as the cube-shaped flat rate box now and will only cost $9.00 to any APO.

    Do you go to the P.O. first and get the right box and fill it up, then take it back to the P.O.? 

    I better PM Madison to get instructions, since I can't remember if I did and forgot them already.  Surprised

    Yep Bren- They have free boxes, 2 different shapes.  No matter what you put in them, they cost one flat rate...I think it is $8.95, but don't know if it is the same no matter where you live or not.  I think it works out that if the box is more than 2 pounds, it saves you money.  Mine was 8 pounds or so, and I had it crammed full.  I have found the cube shaped boxs holds a bit more than the flatter box, but I guess it depends on the shape of what you are sending.  If you are sending things to an APO you have to fill out a form saying what is in the box....easy as pie :)

    Does anyone else have family who is a service member overseas that we need to cheer up with goodie boxes?  If so, PM me an address...

    I feel fortunate that I was able to meet you and Cheryl at Pinkstock last year. It was so obvious how much you both adored one another, and I wish that I could find the right words to ease your pain. Cheryl meant so much to us here and showed us how to fight this disease with dignity and grace. She will always have a special place in my heart.
