TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Good morning... a quick here and gone today...running late...
Went to foot dr. yesterday. Not only did he cut out my ingrown nail but found corns UNDER my nail..4 of them. He got those out roots and all and the toe feels much better. He says it is from chemo...usually happens a year out (which I am). The chemo can destroy the nail beds(which I knew but never gave it a thought). The other big toe ..he had to remove half of the nail. He gave me stuff to put on each day for about 9 months.
I have to see him again in April...if a new nail hasn't started growing, he will remove this one to give the other a better chance of growing. What a relief not to have that pain. He froze my toe before he gave me 4 injections and I didn't feel a thing.
Hugs and prayers to all...will read and post later.
Have a great day.
Candie

Is there a way to cut and paste this post for the dreamer thread too? Then I just would have to add to it. I did try it the other day and I lost it!!
-
Candie, I usually type my post in Notepad or Word and then copy and paste from there - that way I don't lose it. Glad you got the nail taken care of. I have half a nail on my left big toe. I don't want to go to the docter because he will take a blood test to make sure liver function is ok, and that means that they draw blood from my feet since I had lymph nodes removed from both sides.

Margaret...ooo..from your feet!!! wow, it is my left toe too.
thanks for info on cut and paste. i will do that.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Hi everyone. I am spending way to much time on here today.
Charlene-Your in PA. Won't you please come to Pinkstock this year. Heck I am traveling from CA.
Joyce-Go to the Pinkstock 08 thread in this section. I would love to me you there.
Brenda-I finally got the decorations off the tree last night. Now it sits lonely in the corner until dh gets home to box it up. Jan 10
Candie and Margo-Both my big toe nails have been flaking off since chemo. I'll think I finally got over it and stub my toe and the whole process starts over. When I get a pedicure they try to use glue or something to hold it together longer. Now that it is colder I have not been get pedicures so both nails are dangerous close to being history.
Well off I go. Hugs to all.
-
I'm ok. Mamo was good.
hugs to everyone.
-
Hey Brenda and Candie.............didn't you get the notice that "no toenails" are the way to go right now?? Yup, I started the fad several years ago! My 2 Big toes are naked and proud of it......................atleast proud to be pain free!!
Hugs,
Neesie

Hello everyone
Just stopped in for a minute, to say hi, and hope everyone had a good day. I finally undecorated my Christmas tree, and took half of it apart--now my back is screaming, so the rest will have to wait till tomorrow !!
HUGS, -
Hi all..just poppin in here to let you know that Puppy is *VERY SICK*..this happened quite suddenly. Apparently she caught a very bad bug at the hospital this past weekend visiting her new nephew. She has had an excruciatingly sore throat since yesterday and didn't see the doctor until midday today.
This morning she had lumps under her jaw and a membrane occluding the back of her throat. She saw the doctor who felt that she needed to be hospitalized but she is so contagious that she will endanger other patients. So she has been sent home with antibiotics. We are very worried about her tonite.
Sending prayers and warm wishes your way Puppy, and hoping you're much better tomorrow!!!

Thanks Mizsissy! I will keep Puppy in my prayers. I think there is alot of strep going around.
-
Jaz, good to see you. How are you?
Will also keep Puppy, Odalys and her mother, CY, Michelle and all the Circle Family in my prayers.

Hey Cherryl
I'm doing great. Busy at work getting my new teammate up to speed and set up to take over some of the projects. How are you?
-
Hello friends. Thank you so much for all your prayers and well wishes. Mom is slightly better but still in the hospital. Would you believe they drained 8 pounds of fluid from her abdomen? Now, she has developed some type of urinary tract infection they are keeping an eye on her very closely. She is not in the same hospital where I work so I don't really know the doctors treating her. I try not to worry but it's hard because I see patients like her all the time at the hospital. But, what can I do she insists on going to the same hospital because is closer to her home and she know everyone there. She is a frequent flyer there.
Puppy, Cy, Gina, and all the other CG's undergoing treatment, I pray you are in no pain, your bodies handle the treatment, and are healing well.
Ok, off to bed. I've been working 12 hour days this past two weeks and I am exhausted. I will try to cath up with everyone this weekend. I may be off on Monday for the Martin Luther King Birthday Holiday. Sending love and hugs to all in the circle.

BMD: You are one of the nicest people I know on these boards and thank you for asking me to come to Pinkstock. I would so Love to meet you but I'll have to let you know. I promised Audrey I'd take her to the beach this year as we didn't get to go Anywhere last year and she's a beach baby! Ava was there when she was 10 months old and now that she's 2 she would have such a blast! I myself could use the serenity of the ocean.
Candie: Glad you got relief for your toe.
Mizsissy: How is Puppy doing?
Jazz: Hey girl! Hope your teammate is staying up to speed with you!

Puppy Update
Puppy posted over in the Dreamer thread this AM; I also got a PM. She told me she is in a lot of discomfort, it hurts to talk, and she can't talk on the phone. Her husband is at home taking good care of her today and she has seen the doctor yesterday. We'll just hope for the best and hope that now that she is on medication, she'll get better soon!!!
Whew...so much sickness going around now in Michigan...think I have more friends sick than well!!!

Some good news, Ladies! All of my post-mast scans came back negative! Guess that makes me NED for now. I was very concerned given the large number of positive lymph nodes in the pathology report after surgery. I appreciate all of your hugs and prayers.
Hugs to Puppy and to all who could use them.
-

Hello All,
I guess you can call me a lurker. I have been reading for some time but have never posted.
I am a breast cancer survivor. Even though it has been a few years, I still get concerned as I see many of you do.
I have never been involved in a support system before, really didn't know there was any until I got to browsing a bit.
This site looks like there is lots of support and friendship. I would like to become a regular here and perhaps befriend and support you guys.
Waiting to hear from you.

Neesie
