Good evening all sisters, sorry I have neglected my real home, but I have been living in a rental home for the last few days.
Hi Colleen This is the link to the rental home, save you looking mate.
http://community.breastcancer.org/topic/87/conversation/402140?page=773
wishing all my sisters from Amy to Z a safe and happy night, and I will be back later to have a good read about what has been happening at home while I have been away
Take care
Peter

Just checking in here. I've enjoyed the rental, myself. I don't know what the future holds for us, but I hope we all stay together
-
ahhh what a day it has been. Tired out but happy. Doc says that everything looks ok. Pain under my arm through my shoulder blade he believes is gall bladder (and that sucker can go in a jar too as far as I'm concerned), blood work was perfect...won't have the FSH or thyroid results till next week. He said if it looks like I am still in menopause he is switching me back to Arimidex. The weight gain is a combo of the Tamoxifen, menopause and no smoking and not much you can really do about it. Told me no more jogging...at all!! Bones are not in good shape. I told him I bought a mini trampoline and he said that was great...low impact. He also said to do the yoga. Got a rx for physical therapy and LE massage at the college across the street from where I work. Since we are affiliated with them it will be free! Yippee. The LE therapists will use me as a "dummy" heehee.
I pick up my LE sleeve and gauntlet tomorrow...I am actually excited and hoping I will be able to do things again!
New pic of me and Nate...
Might make it my avatar. Not sure. Can't wait to see my dd...I want a pic like this with the three of us. Miss her so much.
Time to walk the perimenter and tuck you all in.
Amy dear...you crawl right into bed with those puppies (yes I am seriously thinking of comin down and getting one for me and one for NS ...heehee). Hugs and love to you and hope you get some rest with happy dreams.
CY...glad you are feeling better. Worry about you when you aren't feeling well. Love ya...sweet dreams.
Jaz...I swear you make me laugh at every post...what would we do without you! See you in the morning.
Madison...miss ya...do you think you will be able to come to Florida? Would love to see you...love ya...sweet dreams to you.
Angel...wanted to tell you something but darned if I can remember what it was. Love ya anyway!
WildJan...so sorry about dd and sil...I have the same situation going on with my dd too. She is getting over it now and moving on. I would love for her to move home but her job in Florida is too good to walk away from and she truly loves Florida. Happy dreams to you.
Shokk...heehee...I love ya sister...have a peaceful night.
Guz...I know I saw ya here somewhere. Me and Nate are thinking of a New Hampshire road trip this fall before the snow comes. Gonna send for a visitors package.
Sheri...glad your birthday went well and praying for your boy constantly. Sweet dreams to you.
Liz honey...pickin miss you too...geez...you just gotta come to Florida...(as I am twisting your arm heehee). I only wish I could stay for two weeks. Love ya and sprinkling some stardust so you have sweet dreams. Praying for good belly news tomorrow!
Hey to Suz and Tricia...missed you two.
Gina...hope you chemo tomorrow goes well. Sending prayers and hugs to you. Love ya.
Robin...we'll be happy when you can check in...has anyone heard anything...getting worried.
Susan...something was up with you but darned if this fuzzy brain of mine can remember.
Jankay...was im'ing you and lost ya somehow. Phones are still down...I hate Frontier...we never have phone service and I so wanted to talk to dd tonight.
Karen...how did your appointment go today...I was thinking of you at mine.
Marsha...did you have an appointment today too?
Did we lose Iris...I'm gonna sneak in her wagon and set off the alarms just so the cops come and see whats goin on...I could use a glimpse of some good lookin men in uniform LOL. Sweet dreams Leo sister.
Lini girl...smooches and love your way. Still ticked off at the post office. I am still trying to find a replacement!
Deb...I think we are ready for a bedtime story LOL .
Peter...hope you have a grand and wonderful day.
It's off to bed with me but I have one more thing to say
You don't know what all your support meant to me today. I know that I was just going for a followup and so many are having such major problems that I feel so bad about whining about my little phobia's. I love you all...dearly...and I thank you for putting up with my occasional whining and actually...i do look cute in my little girl panties LOL
Love and big hugs
Vickie

Hi all,
Bit confused with the new sight and I think I lost my avatar
. Oh I'm feeling too old to learn new stuff!!! Have been working way too much. I'm going to play around and try to learn the site. Hopefully will be posting more often soon.
Love to all from Amy to Z

Stopping by to say good night. I miss all the posts from everyone at the G's rental. I would go visit but I wish you would all come back here.
-
Odalys .. I don't know how I missed your post. How frustrating getting the errors.
BMD, Boo/Sue, and Colleen: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/mb/nosurrenderbreastcancer
So far no errors at Gina's lol c'mon over!
-
OK...I think we need to decide which site we are going to use...trying to be two places at once is hard for me...
If I can get on here without problems, I say that we should stick with BC.org.....how do you all feel???
Gina - I think it is great you set up the site so quickly, but how long do you envision running a back-up? Do you want us to all move over there or is this truly a temp???
Deb C
-
Amy, I'm reading back slowly, going from home to rental and I am sorry about your dx with your lungs, so sorry. I love you and I pray for you and I wish you peace in the midst of adversity.
You will prevail over this too and you will be just fine, I feel it in my soul.

Today was a better day, tomorrow will be better than today and I think I will take it a half day at a time the day after that. I am struggling with what is my duty and what is just plain unreasonable for anyone to expect of me.
My mother is ill and she drinks and she's depressed and is doing nothing to help herself and I feel she has asked me to watch her kill herself and I resent it. She is affecting everyone else in my family, my son is pissed that she won't try to do even the small things for herself, it's easier to ask him to run up and down the stairs. My DH wants to go away every weekend to have time to ourselves, no drama from my mama. My mother has also become very paranoid, she thinks everyone is out to get her and screw her life up even more, social security, medi-cal, doctors, social workers, everyone she deals with, even friends and family.
I want her to go into a treatment facility ot rehab or a home, assisted living or something, I want some semblance of a life and I feel bad because it's my mother.
But I hate having to go to the store after I get home from work, I hate going out in the middle of the night to get stuff for her, I hate doing all the cleaning, shopping and though I get some help, it's still majorily on me.
So, I do it and cry and do it again and cry and you get the picture. My DH is going to university and works 2 hours from home so he stays in town a lot and comes home on the weekend so he really doesn't even know how much this affecting me, I try to tell him, but I don't want to complain too much, he's put up with so much and he stands by me.
So least to say, I am having a real hard time right now and I just want some relief and a little peace.
Thanks for letting me vent. I love you all.

Good morning Circle. Oh how I love this big type. Been spreading myself a bit thin as we all have. I normally have a couple of sites i go to but there's been more lately. I have to keep Myspace up cos I like it, I check in with Quitnet cos I've been really wanting a cigarette badly and need the support, I try and check in here because it's Home, I go to Ginas because most of my friends are there and I love the set up being so simple to use, I went to Jazz's cos I was really beginning to like it alot due to it being smaller and so comfortable and no moderators so if I said poo poo I didn't get my hand slapped. Plus, trying to keep up with my email. That's just my computer. I don't know how you girls have time to work!
Deb, i was wondering about where the Circle was going to be, too. Either site is fine with me, but as I said before Ginas is awfully simple to use and comfy but on the other hand this place is home. I'll just go where all my friends decide to go unless they're split on the decision then I guess I'll post in both. lol
The last time i went to Jazz's board there was no door key under the flower pot as usual so I couldn't get in. I thought maybe it was under construction too but, alas, she's shutting hers down.
I have decided the computer just doesn't keep me nearly busy enough so I'm opening up my own little board. NOT A BREAST CANCER BOARD, we have plenty of those. More of a small, cozy, place my friends and I can gather and relax and have some laughs. No moderation because we're all adults and I'm going to be careful of membership. I just started messing with it tonight and it's great fun....and frustrating because i am computer illiterate. Kinda like a larger Myspace. Or a constant virtual party. I thought about my chat room friend, Jen, and how we used to meet in the extra chat room here in the wee hours of the morning and forgot our worries with laughter while we were there. I nicknamed it The Cabana Room with the cabana boys. We'd lay on the beach listening to the ocean, laughing, drinking a cool refreshing beverage and having the cabana boys painting our toenails. Jen's not with us anymore but I have good memorys. I decided to name my new board The Cabana Club. So that's what's new in my world even tho I just started it.
I miss having everyone in one place but I do think more of the girls are at Ginas so I'd better check in there. Wishing you all good health and a great day.
-
I just wanted to add that I think it's a wonderful thing that BCO finally got it fixed where we didn't lose our posts. Thank You.
-
good morning sweet family,
just posted at the resort and had to come here and say good morning.
Cheri pal...wuvs ya.
Z....I am going to send you a pm later. I work at an assisted living facility. I know how you feel.
Deb...I agree...this is too hard. I keep losing people.
Love and hugs from Amy to Z!

Good Morning Everyone: Its down right chilly this end of the Chicago circle. I mean i had to put a robe on this morning. Refuse to put the heat on this early in the game, so I wonder what its gonna be like when I take my shower later.
Gina: It was an eerie day yesterday. When I came home from work, one of the news stations played their broadcast from that infamous day. Watching it made me feel like we were going through it all over again. But I had to watch it. I dont every want to forget! This new job prospect does sound good. Havent been this excited about something in a very long time. Can you imagine me having a position that is all about keeping people well? Giving wellness lectures and just supporting the older independent seniors and their families? Wow! So we shall see where this progresses to. More chemo today? Good luck my dear friend. At least that is one more down.
Wild/Jan: Such good news about your husbands leg finially showing some healing.
Colleen: I will admit it has been frustrating the last week. Seems like they are fixing things. Its so good to hear from you. I have been hanging out in the rental home. As soon as I got onto the site, I saved it to my favorites - so I can get on right away. Maybe try that next time. Have a good day my friend.
Peter: You gotta admit, the rental home is alot of fun. Its morning here, and you are probably getting ready for bed. Hope you have a restful night.
Sheri: Our friendships are too strong. The bond we have is incredible. Of course we will stay together.
Vickie: What a great new picture of you and nate. I know we are both up at the same time - trying to go to both homes and say good morning. Glad your onc appointment went well. Hope you have a fabulous day.
Boo: If I could have eaten all of the frustration I have had over this past week with the boards, I would have gained 100 pounds. Dont forget to check out our rental home. Peter posted the site above. Good to hear from you.
Susan: I must admit, I like the rental home much better too. Hope your feeling better today.
Charlene: The roast beef was great. One more fill and you will be done with that. You can do it, I know you can.
Odalys: So you got the ooops lady again last night? I so want to wring her neck. Glad you had a busy, but good day.
BMD: Im hanging out at both places. Having too much fun. Although I must admit its hard keeping up. My DH said why get upset - now you have 2 places to go. And he's right. Im not leaving here. I have been on this site everyday for over 2 years now.
z: Being a caregiver for a parent is so hard. Just keep on hanging in there.
DebC: Im hanging out at both sites. Dont want to miss anyone as all of you sparkle my day.
Cheri: Good tohear from you. I got dizzy when I started reading how many sites you go to. Hoping you have a great day.
OK - need to go to my rental home. Hoping you all have a wonderful day. I dont know if I will get on the computer tonight. Got a f/u appointment with my PCP - nothing serious. F/U to the pneumonia and Im gonna talk to him more about what kind of diet he wants me on. So if I dont see ya tonight, I will see ya in the morning.
-
Good morning dear friends. Hope everyone had a good night's rest. I see temps are getting cooler in certain parts of the circle. Please blow some of that cool air this way cause this part of the circle is experiencing 82 degrees this early in the morning and expecting 90's all day. This is the peak of hurricane season for us and so far so good. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
Z - so sorry you have to go through such difficulties with your mom. She must want rehab for herself or it won't work. Please take are of yourself.
Nicki - I just saw it's 48 degrees in Chicago. Awwww...I just love a cool morning air.
BTW - I have an appt with onc today for 2 year check up. I hope he gives me a script to have PET scans done. It's time to look at the whole body to make sure there are no pesky cells growing somewhere. I am all for being proactive.
At the risk of sounding politically incorrect...I am going to take a leap and say...this president has to go!!!!! I did not vote for him and now I need to say Enough already! We need our troops home, alive and well. It's time for a female president! Okay - you don't have to agree with me, just ignore this post if you don't and please don't send me any nasty pm's.
Got to go, work awaits. Have a good day dear friends. I hope I haven't alienated anyone with my comments this morning. I love y'all.
-
Morning girls and Peter
thanks for the links to Gina's, yes, I do know how to save as a favorite, so I will do that this time.
I agree with Deb and the other ladies, I don't care where we are, as long as we're all together - has a decision been made?
Vickie - that is a beautiful picture, you are gorgeous
Z- sorry about your mom, my dad drinks too, and it is hard. I don't have the added pressure of him living with me and having to care for him though. Share with your DH if you can, it might relieve some of the stress, at least on weekends? Much love to you
Odalys, Cheri, Charlene, Sue/Boo, susan, Laura, WildJan, Jas, Jankay, everyone else - hi!!
-
Good morning everyone! Woke up way too early this morning from the ugly night sweats all shivering and wet! Bowling ball pain is easing. They still hurt but not with the constant intensity as before.
Z ... Big warm comforting hugs for you sweet sister. I wish I could help.
Cheri ... With all your busyness on the PC don't forget to take care of yourself! I'm looking forward to your vacation site!
Nicki ... I did reschedule my last fill for the 28th. No way I'm ready for it this Friday and I would have scheduled it for the 21st but I'm going to Maryland for my niece's birthday that Saturday and I wouldn't be able to go if I have a fill the day before. I can do it, Yes I can!
Odaylys ... You can have all my cold air, if there was a way I would send it to you!
Colleen ... hello to you!
Well I best go lie down until Ava needs me. Been up since 5:15 and I'm none too happy about it. Everyone from A - Z have a good day.Love & Hugs,
Charlene

Good Morning friends. HOpe everyone had a good night with beautiful dreams. Woke up to an email from my sister. She started chemo yesterday. She says it hurts to cry????? Said when the tears fall the bones around her eyes have shooting pain? Has anyone experienced that? What can she do about it?
Marsha, you had a party and didn't invite me. I am so coming to BNO next time I'm there. Think I posted my update on the hospital day from hell somewhere. Can't remember if I put the notice up at both houses. Bottom line, scans done, xrays done, blood drawn, broken rib(s), infusion on friday. Yeah for me. Other than that life is just perky.
Have a grand time in Tennessee. On a houseboat no less. Dang I'm jealous.
How'd your appt go?Z, hugs to you. Mom troubles suck beans.
Susan, when the beast invades our dreams it has gone to far. I am sorry. Praying B9
MB, no teeth picture yet. I'll get to it I promise. But then someone is going to have to post it for me cause I don't even want to try to learn how to post pics again.
BMD, you get your labs done a whole week before your onc appt. Good heavens that would be torture for me. I go a morning of my appt. Guess it helps to have the doc and lab in the same building.
I think we all should get a massage every week.Amy, you have earned the right to whine a bit.
Nicki, new job prospect sounds good. Keeping the appendages crossed again.
Gina, praying for you and holding your hand today.
So page 773 took two minutes to load. I timed it. I so don't have the patience for this. Do hope they figure that out soon.
Colleen, hugs to you my dear. The "technical issues" are wearing on my nerves as well. But I do believe they are trying.
Vicki, are you gonna have a HIDA scan for your gallbladder? That was very cool to watch. And not cancer related so it was very stress free. Minus of course the 14 pokes it took before they found a vein.
Hi Boo/Sue. Were all a bit confused these days.
Have a great day dears. I'll be on the couch with the remote if you need me.
Cheri, your building your own site? very cool! How's your leg? Are you walking on it?
Good Morning Vicki, Nicki, and Odalys
Charlene, a very good decision to postpone your last fill. No point going on a trip if your in pain.
Off to the rental. Have a great day one and all.
-
Sherloc -- there must be an issue on your end because the BCO board and pages load very quickly (in seconds) for me.
-
Good morning everyone,
Cheri-been wondering where you been hanging your hat lately. We seem to be missing each other. Thanks for holding my hand. Oh guess what? I got flowers from my secret pal! Didnt you get flowers from Gus once? lol. It seems like you did but you hardly mentioned it,,lmao!
Nicki-lmao, you have to stay up past 7:30 to keep your eyes on me. Granted it wont take much work at the gosh awful hour you wake up cause I am comatose at that time. Thanks! how dare you mention the cool word. Blow some my way.
Charlene-good idea about postponing the fill. Cant say that I blame you one bit.
boo-dont feel bad at all. We are all confused.
Sheri-Heard anything from the son lately? Whats the latest?
Shirley-I hate whining but thanks for giving me permission. The longer I typed I thought to myself, geesh you are just whining way too much.
Margaret-did i miss a post from you? I dont remember seeing one. Hello there.
Iris-where are you these days? Did the oh dear lady scare you away?
Z-sorry you are having a rough time. I can totally see how you are feeling like you are. Enough is enough.
Cy-hope you are relaxing and dont forget you are doing chemo, you dont have to be superwoman.
NS-sorry you are starting a new chemo today. The fears of the unknown, I can so relate.
Biker Jan-you must be hanging at the rental. i will have to run on over there when I finish here.
Susan-I like the rental also.
Deb-Hard to keep up with both places for sure. Hows the school year going so far. Watched a discovery thing last night about Alaska and thought of you the whole time.
Vickie-pups are just growing and growing. They sure are cute. Loved the new pic.
I have to have an EKG before I start the study cause I had one in April but it has to be within the last 4 weeks. Everything else looks good. One bad thing is the herceptin on the study has to be infused over 90 minutes. I get it now in 30, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I like in and out better than 90 minutes for sure.
Ok headed over to the rental to look around and see whats new. I shall return.

ZAZZETTE>my Aunt is in a assisted living home and she LOVES it! I got to go see her while in Illinois in June, she was worried about missing the next activity. They had something planned every hour for them to get involved in! I think you are heading for a disaster with your marriage if you don't get help with her soon! Nobody can handle 24 hour care for any relative I don't care who you are. Even my Mom knew when enough was enough and she took care of her MIL, her Father and a former boyfriend in her home at different times in her life with no help from anyone else. For the sake of you and your DH sanity please check out assisted living homes. I was very impressed with the one my Aunt is in, it was the first assisted home I've ever been in.
-
thought u guys would like this.
-
Fast message to Z...I agree totally with wildjan...your mother would be so very much happier in an assisted living setting. I work at an assisted living facility and our residents are very happy and very busy! Yes...moving in is sad...but there are so many activities and other people in the same position. YOU should not feel at all quilty about placing her somewhere that is not only safe but comfortable and happy. She will adjust just fine...its YOU that is feeling badly and placing her in assisted living is the very best thing for everyone.
Hugs
Vickie

Good morning Circle. I can't read the page before this one it says it's invalid so I am missing a whole bunch of posts. Don't know why it does that sometimes, just one page will stick and I can't get in. Since there's not much I can do here i guess I'll run over to Gina's rental and see if that's where everyone is at.
I have a dr. appt. with my Disease Control Dr. this afternoon. We also have the boys cos Amber's started working. At least my dh is home to take me.
My Home Infusion Nurse came this morning and had already talked to the dr. about taking blood through my port if she couldn't hit me. It went thru the port and that's so much better. I sure wish they'd do it that way all the time.
Hey to everyone from Amy to Z. Wishing you a good day.
-
This is just a test to see if the picture will post.
Yeah!!!! I did it from my office PC. That means there is something blocking this function on my laptop. Oh well, it will have to be a weenkend project.
Hope everyone is having a good day. bbl
