TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

good morning all...
Whew...just dragged my butt out of bed! Its chilly this morning...50 degrees. Yuck again. All you girls out there in the heat are welcome to come stay at my house LOL. Actually we could just switch for a while.
Talked to DD till really late last night (didn't dare call Cheri after talking to her cuz I didn't want to wake her...sorry Cheri...I'll call ya in a bit)...the cruise line has changed their destination to the Bahama's. I personally don't think that sounds one bit safer...they are leaving tomorrow. Keeping a close watch on Dean...not just for my daughter but for all our girls in its past.
Have tons of mowing to do today as it looks like I'm mowing for the people I bought my house from. They are elderly and not in good shape (Papa Neil and Donna dear...Nates "adopted" grandparents). He called yesterday to see if I'd mow their lawn (which unfortunatley is bigger than mine) and I said I would. He just can't do it anymore. He can't get on and off the mower and she is just so sick. Makes me sad.
Nicki...I'm here. I tried to post last night but couldn't get online. We were having some pretty magor storm and I got some really cool cloud pictures that I will share later. It was really strange weather and cloud formations like nothing I've ever seen. Up the valley was black as night, down the valley were blue skies!
Brenda...I think I'll look up that book. Being in limbo describes it perfectly.
Cheri pal...I'll call you in a bit. Gonna let you wake up and I need a shower first. So very much wish I were closer.
Madison and Liz...where are you? Missin ya!
Jasmine...really wish you'd come back and stay. Once a circle girl always a circle girl and we miss you.
Angel...you are so sweet. Praying for no complications for you.
Beth...Elvis has left the building already! That was quick and I'm happy for you. Crying over the Victoria Secret commercials...yup...been there and done that. Really think they should be banned. Maybe we should all put on one of their bra's and send them a picture of what's real. I could really get on my soapbox about this one but I won't. They wonder why young girls have such low self esteem.
Good morning Jankay...I got your myspace comment so I'll work on yours later.
Christine...good to see you...you look fantastic.
Good night and sweet dreams Peter...saw my comment on myspace too LOL...good one.
Shopmama...where are you? Missing you and ready to round up a posse...
Looks like lots of missing girls...hmmm...if anyone has numbers maybe we should start calling. Couldn't hurt.
Ok...missing a bunch of ya but gotta get busy or I'll never get a chance to relax this weekend.
Love and hugs all around
Vickie
OH...happy birthday Betty! -
Vickie .. Thanks, I know what you mean about the girls low self esteem. What this society portrays as important in a woman really disgusts me and those commercials are ridiculous. Where are the sexy men prancing around half naked? Why can't we get some eye candy every 10 minutes on tv too? oh, don't get me started....
Colleen - I meant to tell you that I looked at your link and just wanted to say that Warren is so adorable and he's looking up at you so lovingly. What a precious picture! -
oh my...talking to DD...I'm tellin ya ladies the girl if downright goofy. She's freaking out about the cruise...not because of the hurricane, heck...she thinks thats cool. She's worried about...get this...sea monsters, sharks and giant squid eating the ship. Wondering if she can pack a harpoon. She's been watching too much SciFi TV and the discovery channel. Said that all kinds of weird things wash up on shore and poof...nothing more get said...its a government coverup because they don't want people to know whats really in the depths of the ocean or they won't go to the beaches. To top it off she's watching Titanic, Storm of the Century, 10000 Leagues Under the Sea...you get the picture. She's had me laughing so hard my stomach hurts. I told her she'd be staying in the boat...not in the water! Someone told her if they drain the pool...look out...get below deck and lock your doors...wth is that! Said that Dick VanDyke knows...
I'm telling ya...this girl will keep you in stitches for hours.
Had to share the laughs -
Vickie .. have her watch the original Posieden Adventure too! lol
Eye Candy for the ladies: -
I SEE MY NAME!!!
-
Morning all!
I'll be back to love, hug, harass and bug all this evening! My fun day includes a bridal shower.......envious aren't ya?! It's for my cousins daughter.....(a bit distant!)...and I get to drive to Mom's (thanks Margaret!), about 45 minutes away to get her and pack up the Oxygen....then drive back by my house to go to the shower..then reverse the order!!!! Gotta love these showers!
Will catch up with all of ya this evening!
Hugs,
Denise -
hmmm...got me thinkin about Victoria's Secret and their ads. warning...stupid idea coming up.
I will be the first to admit I truly hate those ads. I simply cannot stomach watching them. Jealousy...no...hurt and heartache...yup. Maybe it's time to start a campaign with Victoria's Secret...mail them pictures of us (chest only...no names)with a letter explaining BC to them and what it does to us when we see their commercials. Probably wouldn't do a bit of good but would sure make me feel better LOL. I don't think they'd like my letter much...they make me cry...I'll bet I can make them cry! -
Vickie and Angel ~ Yesterday I had one of those boob longing moments, at work to top it off. One of our very pretty, actual beauty queen employees was wearing a kind of low-cut top. Not too low, but revealing. Her soft, full cleavage was there at the lunch table in full view. It made me sad that I'll never have that again. Then it made me even more sad that my DH will never get to feel that again(well, he better not if he knows what's good for him. so I guess not that sad). Some days it really bothers me and I long for my oldies, and others days it doesn't so much. Hoping today is a good day for all!
-
Morning All
Just realized I think I already popped in and said good morning - way too much cold medication!
Hope everyone has a good day! -
Good morning everyone!
Hugs
Liz -
Good morning A-Z. I have to go show 9 houses today and it is going to be another hot one. I gave up on trying to wear make-up anymore this summer. I guess they will have to take me as I am. I look worse with it than without after a nice hot flash in the heat.
I think my tram boobs jiggled a little yesterday. That was odd. Up till now they just felt like solid mounds on my chest. Barbie boobs is what I think you all call them. Hope I can still go with out a bra with a tank top today. I am sure people know I am without because I have no bra lines under my shirt. I still can't were one because of the roll I have under my new boobs. The bras just slide up my chest when I sit down. I am scheduled for revisions on Dec 20. What I am getting at as I hate those Victoria Secret ads too.
Well off to the shower with me. I hope you all have better days today and everyday.
BMD -
Good Morning!
Vickie - too funny that DD is worried about sea monsters but thinks the hurricane is cool!
I haven't seen the weather forecast today, is Dean gaining strength? Guess I could actually go to the weather channel site and see for myself, huh?
It's CLOUDY here today WooHoo! Actually rained about 10 drops earlier, but at least it's not supposed to be in the 100s which will be nice.
Christine - how's the hand? your building? your cold?
Have a great Sat everyone! -
Morning all
Odalys - I saw your post in the stage 3 board. Praying for B9
Cheri - Glad things are improving. Hope they spring you soon.
Nickie - Glad your starting to feel better. Sorry your DH is being so unreasonable. I agree with you. This is the only place in my life I find people who get it.
Vickie - When my son was little we had to drag him crying onto his first cruise because he had seen Titanic! Now he loves to go. Now Victorias Secret ads are a sore spot with me. Hated the ads pre BC and hate them even more now.
Angel - Thanks for the eye candy.
Hugs to all from A to Z. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Sue -
Well, I cant go to the baby shower - but this is one of my favorite pictures and sooooo appropriate.

Good Morning All,
Overcast day here in Chicagoland. I planned a party for today at my new apartment right after the move at the end of June, figuring it would give me time to get unpacked and put everything together. Last night as I was finishing up things, I realized that at 1:15 pm on (Friday) August 18, 2000 I entered the OR at West Suburban Hospital and my life changed forever. Funny I didn't realize the anniversary date earlier.
Hope everyone has a good day and great weekend.
Cherryl -
Puppy, I'm ok. The biopsy won't be for another 3 weeks. I don't know what they will find. at the worst it will be more surgery. I straight out asked if it could be cancer and she said no, but there could be something that we needed to take care of so there wasn't cancer later.
Nicki, I have problems with my dh getting taken over by aliens sometimes. I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. Big hugs. When he started talking about divorce I said ok, lets do it, I can't live like this and that seemed to quiet him down and straighten him up. (knock on wood). You will find your way through this to a more peaceful place whatever that might be.
Cheri, How could you look at that leg and not know how sick you were?????
I'm not having problems with my computer but getting on here is getting to be a real chore......
Christine I was in Eureka Springs yesterday and I got you a little something. heehee you will laugh
Robin, you are sounding so good. The Lord has got your back girl and you have come out roaring. Get those new boobies and new degree and have fun. Wonder what "computer honey" did to Evil to make him straighten up.
Casino girl and Liz, I was at Buffalo Run on thursday night to see Merle Haggard. It was a great show. Not too hot if you jump from airconditioned car to airconditioned building.
Marsha and Shirley you are both so cute. Glad you had a great time.
I also get aggravated about "easy breast cancer treatment". I haven't seen that thread yet but... I know how hard things are for me compared to what it used to be. I'm only 57 but I feel like I'm 77. If someone tells me I'm milking it they are gonna get an earful.
Brenda I didn't know you were in real estate. I think that would be a pretty stressful job. Don't you want your boobs to giggle a little??
Oh yes, Happy Birthday Betty!!!
love you all.

Morning all, just dropping in to say hi from Mandalay Bay's beach n Vegas. This is a true vacation - I'm sitting in a lounge chair, with a diet coke (frozen margaritas after breakfast), with a laptop sitting in the shade. I have my friends, my book, drinks, life is good. On to readng.
Nicki, I'm sorry there are "hostile (for lack of a better word) feelings between you and hubby. You deserve and need so much more than what he is giving you.
Vickie, I like the Dove commercials for the reason that they use real women. I used to be a Victoria's Secret type years ago but those days are over.
Ooo, back later, lunch is here. Back later.
Margaret -
Susan: DH sometimes gets taken over by aliens! Im laughing so hard at that one.
MargaretB: yeah, I wish I could turn and punch him in the nose.
Thanks for listening to me rant and rave.
Nicki
I think my DH did something similiar the first time I posted this. Thinks its appropriate? -
Afternoon everyone!
I had a relapse yesterday- felt really sick. This darned cold is driving me nuts. Slept most of yesterday and this morning. Meds-induced stupor, I think! Feeling a bit better now.
Shouldn't complain - compared to what many of you are going through right now, this is, after all, just a cold.
Vickie - LOL at your daughter and her cruise fears. I think she should be fine in the Bahamas though. Don't think Dean will be heading anywhere near there. Mind you, I am still watching him closely, even though the experts say no threat to FL. But past experience has shown me, that once a storm gets into the Gulf of Mexico, ya just never know where it will ultimately make landfall.
Sorry that some of you are having computer problems. Like Lisa, I use Mozilla Firefox and have a lot fewer problems with that than with Internet Explorer. Also , make sure you keep your anti-virus software up to date! There are several good, free anti-virus programs available. I use Avira Antivir - and it updates automatically every day.
Nicki - I think it is awful the way your hubby is treating you! Men can be such asses. Makes me appreciate what a good man I really have. Nicki - why are you prepared to continue to put up with such abuse?
Cheri - Hoping you are beginning to feel better. Hospitals are no fun, but hang in there and do as you are told - so that you can get home again asap.
Marsha and Shirley - where are the pictures? I would love to see them too.
Shirley - looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
As for Victoria's Secret, well they don't make bras that fit big women like me anyway, so I tend to ignore their advertising. Ladies - we are more woman than any of those skinny models are- so stand up proud!
Ok, have a great weekend all. Hugs and chocolate xxx to all from A-Z.
Elaine -
oooohh Margaret that sounds just great. You know Las Vegas is one of the few cities that our airport has non-stop flights too. I should try that.

Gods Speed!

Agh no time to catch up reading from past two days...
I saw my BS Friday for 3 month check up and all was well. Mammo in November and see her and rads doc shortly afterwards.Lunch was great Thursday at a fav chinese buffet, biker friend brought along 2 other ladies so we ran over to Walmart afterwards to see what was on clearance.
My hubby got excited when he saw my hair this morning, showed me with two mirrors just how curly my hair was getting. He took a pic so I could share it with you. I was hoping to get curly hair since I had such straight unmanable hair for years. Not sure if or when I will color it to cover the grays. -
Wild/Jan: Its a fun feeling when your hair starts growing back and you look like a normal person. My hair came back just the same. Some waves - I was sure hoping for those curls.
Nicki -
Hi everyone,
All eyes here are tuned to Hurricane Dean
Dean is what we call a DANGEROUS hurricane. It is perfectly formed...a buzz-saw cutting across the water....
Still so many vivid memories of Katrina
Had to visit parents out of town today.....
bbl....
sending hugs to all -
Charlene, thanks for the eye candy cause you know what a
...sweet tooth I have.
Vickster, how are you girlyfriend?? I see you're sneaking in my hosp room to party over at the cyber party thread...too cool, don't forget the blue drinks Wo0oHoo
Susan, of course I knew I was sick, I'd called my ortho and he put me on Keflex for 10 days, so I thought I was getting better. My ppo saw me on mon and sent me home like that to finish the meds, but he must've had second thoughts cause he called me back and told me to get to Iowa asap. So see, I was just following dr.s orders hahahaha
Shokk, where are you?
Jazz, c'mon now we're all missing your posts here. You have such a great sense of humor...nobody could ever take your place. You silly girl. lol
Jankay, I appreciate your daily morning phone calls. It helps to have contact.
Hey to Janny, Marsha, Charlene, Jazz, Vickie, Gus, Boo, Denise, Sheri, Odalys, Shirley, Liz, Karen,Z, Gina, Brenda, Carrie, Deese, Christine, Casino Girl, Amy, BMD, Mandy, Marisa, the brand new ladies, ande everyone from Amy to Z.
Marsha, no buttons pushed here. I didn't find anybody that was interesting enough to hold my attention. lol It is rather cute the way they vie for attention, though. Oh yeah, the first initial is "S".haha
pals
cheri -
Hi Cheri, so very glad you are posting. I did see where they may be in your hospital room tonight having a PARTY......
-
Cheri..glad to see you are able to join us..my arms are reaching over there from san diego to give you a big hug!!
I went to see my grandson play soccer today ( he has no clue what it is about) and my little granddaugher joined us..she will be three months next week. Hardly seems possible..we bought that little hat when we were in Vermont a couple of weeks ago... -
Well back from showing houses. It was so hot and muggy. No offers today but one home really turned them on. We shall see how they feel after they think about it over night.
Susan--Yes real estate can be stressful but I really enjoy seeing people realize their dream. I have been in sales for 25 years. It is just my thing. Yes, I am glad the boobs are jiggeling a bit. I just was not expecting it. I thought I was permanently in moundville.
Wild/Jan your hair looks great. Mine came in much the same way but I have to blow dry it with a round brush to make it look good. I have already trimmed it once and plan to keep it short. I used a rinse on it for a few months but broke down last month and had some nice color and highlights put in.
Lisa that baby just gets cuter everyday. You should get paid a lot of money for some of the pictures you take.
Hugs to all. -
Lisa .... thanks I will try Foxfire.
Robin ... you sound so great. So glad to see you so much better physically and emotionally.
Gina ... where are you??????
Nicki .... hope you're feeling much better. Take care even when you think it's over pneumonia can sneak back up on you.
Anyone else got Pinkstock or other pics they want to add?? Just go to www.cherylg.net and up load them.
Cheri .... hugs and prayers for you and Amber.
Beth ... you post a lot of pics, do you have any computer issues?
Vickie ... love your new avatar!
Christinek .... saw the pic of you getting your curls cut ... is that length post chemo?? Seems so long.
Well, have to go now. Hugs o veryone
CherylG -
Hope everyone is okay and having a 'decent' weekend. Worried about all in the path of "Dean!"
I'm dragging my fanny to bed, I seemed to find one lone tooth in my mouth that hasn't had a root canal YET. Dentist called in Antibiotic and Darvocet. Haven't needed the Darvocet yet..but looks like my Monday is cut out for me!
Hugs,
Denise
