What would I have done with out all of you In March of 2005. I don't think I would have gotten thru all of this without you. I wanted to curl up and die when I found out on Dec.29 2004 that my sister had metastatic Breast cancer to the bone. I recieved so many letters and they all were full of love and information to get me thru this, I go to everything with my sister and hold up pretty well. My sister and I are pretty close and she always says she wouldn't know what to do without me. Well I wouldn't know what to do without her. We have had one hell of a roller coaster ride. She has been doing well for the last 18months . the first 6 months were good with the tomoxafin but it stopped working so they took her overies out and put her on famara, that has been working ok. but a few months ago she had pain in her rt leg and hip and butt. sounded like a nerve. well they found a tumor in her pelvis area and started rads. her tumor markers are still to this day coming down. is this weird??? after she finished her rads i noticed her losing wt and looking pale. i questioned maybe she was anemic. She was... 2units of blood give, the only thing is that she has double vision in her rt eye still. The doctor ordered a mri of the head to rule out brain mets, came back neg thank god!!! still she was feeling weak and the eye was driving her crazy. I took her to the emergency room and they did a spinal tap that after a few days came back neg. well we just went to the doctors today she had the 2units of blood three weeks ago and the doc says her h/h is 7.5 close to getting more blood. What the hell is going on??????? can some one help me understand. she is due for a ct and bone scan on wed. And they are thinking of a bone marrow biopsy. I pray that this is not in her spinal fluid on bone they say sometimes the first spinal comes back neg. Please if anyone could give me some info . thank you all. I love my sister a pray everyday we can get thru this

I was just about to suggest that you post this in the recurrence section when I saw you'd already done so. Excellent! Those folks have Been There, Done That, and should be able to help.
The rest of us, however, can always offer a (((((HUG))))). -
She might want to see an eye doctor. Five years ago I had a detached retina (for no apparent reason). It was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. There was a dark spot at the bottom of my eye. When I closed my eyes I "saw" a white light circling my eye. Very strange!
The next day I went to the eye doctor and was diagnosed with a detached retina. I had outpatient surgery that afternoon in the office of a retina specialist.
