Good News

Although I do not post very often I do read the boards almost daily and have received so much wonderful information and hope from this site. Thank you!

It is with this that I wanted to share some good news. My mom is 60 and had been cancer free for 12 years. In May she received the news that her cancer had returned possibly in the lung itself and in the pleural cavity of her lung (she was hospitalized with 1.3 liters of fluid in the cavity). Through a thorocentisis (?) most of the fluid was removed however some fluid remained.

Yesterday she received the news that after only two months of Femara all of the fluid in her pleural cavity that remained is gone. Additionally the spots in her lung that showed up initially on a chest exray and then PET scan, are no longer visible!
