Just wanted to remind people about Peggy Huddleston's book/CDs Prepare for Surgery Heal Faster (that may not be exactly the name). It's so helpful - for surgery and a whole lot more. I have the visualization/relaxation uploaded on my iPod and have listened to it through 3 surgeries and 8 chemo sessions and countless times in between.
