Your pic reminds me of a photo my friend sent me took in her back yard at the bird feeder. Big ole bear raiding
it She lives up on a pass in Colo. She had went out to get wood off the wood pile and happened on the bear
YIKES! She went running toward the house yelling for her DH to get the gun get the gun I am happy to report both bear and my friend survived the ordeal! She doesn't leave food out for the bear (I mean birds) anymore

My mother-in-law lives in Arbor Vitae, WI. She had a bear in her backyard. Prior to that she lived near Tomahawk, WI. She saw a black bear while she was driving to the small grocery store near her house. Too rustic for me! I am definitely a "city slicker".

Amazing ... I don't think I'd have wanted to be close enough to capture those photos ... I'm surprised that the rope actually held the bear up through that!!!
    Thanks for sharing those photos....

Carrie: I think I'd have been like your friend... running to the house ... gettin out of there as quickly as I could... I feed the birds ... and there are definitely bears in my area ... the dogs bark at anything and everything though - so I've never actually seen a bear - I know.. there's a first time for everything.... I really do NOT want to see one that close to my house....

I was looking in my bird house (where my doves nest) and I cant see to well, so I say to my husband "what a neat looking bird!",, His reply "its a cat hun".. It was a kitty cat sitting there in the nesting box w/2 doves that were bigger than it was.. he didn't do anything to the babies, we scared him off.. Now the mom and dad parents are kinda freaked out to go back in there. I guess I'd be too. Too bad my digital was outta batteries then..

If we are talking about family, can we talk about husbands and sexuality. I have read that the medications decrease libido. It seems difficult to find people to discuss it with. Maybe this way would be easier. I am new to this. Am scheduled for surgery Sept 8 and then expect to have the world fall apart again. What about libido and sexuality and medications? thanks!

Please go to the Humor section and find the thread titled "I Want My Mojo Back" (or something very similar). This used to be in another forum but was moved to Humor because, as you'll see, it got quite raucous.

It's a concern with all of us.

Am sorry you had to join us, but you'll find some great info here. Take care of yourself!

I'm sorry, Shaw, I directed you toward the wrong place. You'll find the Mojo thread alive and well in the Moving Beyond Cancer forum. I bumped it up for you so that you might find it close to the top of the threads.

I'll PM you with this info as well. Damn! I hate it when I do that. I'd like to blame it on chemo-brain but I'm a little beyond that now (last chemo on 11/29/05).
