The Criminal by Lisa Elder

The cameras scanned the coutroom
It was filled up to the brim
Of dignified ladies with graying hair
To young women so pretty and slim
This was the trial of the century
This Criminals crime so tragic
No bars on earth could hold him
and to kill him would be magic
He was guilty on countless charges
Of murder,rape and deceipt
First he would decieve them, they always said"not me"
Then he would laugh with glee at their defeat.
He raped them of their womanhood
Made them fight for their very lives
Then he stole from millions
Their mothers,sisters and wives.
The ending came one fine day
Everyone anticipating the answer
"On this day in history",the newscaster went on to say
"We finally executed Cancer"
"Now women can love and live again
never to fear and suffer in vain
Breast cancer put up a heck of a fight
But the monster has been slain"
This scenario is but a dream of mine
Oh,how I wish it was true
Then I wouldnt worry about dying
long before my time is due.
I wrote this today and I wanted to share it with you all.maybe some sweet day it will come true.
Love and hugs
