Ultrasound and Mammogram

Hey Everyone,
Well, Tuesday is the day that I am getting my ultrasound and mammogram and even though I know the lump is benign, I'm still a little nervous. I'm reading a book right now called "My Mother's Breast" and it says that's a typical reaction. I hope it's right. I just told my dad about it on Friday night. I didn't want to tell him until after everything, but when I walked into the door of his house, I just had to tell him. I knew I couldn't keep it from him. So now my dad and both my sisters know. I just wish I knew now what the doctor is going to say. I'm not sleeping well because of it.
Anyway, I just needed to vent. If anyone has any ideas of ways to help me sleep at night, that would be great. And thanks for listening to me :-)

Hey Katie and everyone, I am a newbie and don't know what I am doing. I am going for another mammo on tues. also. I think they will definately be doing more tests and it will take more time, it's hard to wait and not worry. I have a worried feeling about this.Pain I'm cirtainly not into, dying I am not afraid of, but I am afraid to leave my large family when they need me so much. I just want to get on with whatever needs to be done. I may not have time to waste waiting, although i know we all have to wait to get the help we need. I don't think I am being negative, just preparing, and I trust my spirit and instincts. Fate, I'm not quite so sure about! Take care yall Carla

Hi Carla and Katie,
First big hugs to you both!!
Waiting for test results are the absoute worst!
You keep trying to keep busy and not think about it but there it is.
Good for you both for being dilegent and getting your mammo
and also 80% of all lumps are begnin I am praying for B9 for you both.
You have found a great place to come for support as you wait , although you can post any where you would like there
is a thread on the boards that is called Waiting For Test Results where alot of women just like you are waiting for results. But you can stay right here if you want . I had a excesional biopsy back this past Feb. and Know about the fear as you wait expecially if you have a family member who was Dx'd with BC.
Hugs you guys and let us know how you are doing , keep us posted.

Praying for both of you and welcome!
