I live in Uganda, and I am crying as I send this message. I have a sister who lives in a remote village. She has a swollen breast that is paining her. I have just heard that she has been in bed in pains. When I got this information, I rushed to the Internet to look for help on breast cancer until I came to this site. I have got hope to get a solution. I have just arranged to transport her to Kampala so that I can take her to the doctor for check up. What makes me cry for her is that she is a poor woman who never reported this problem early enough. My worry is that if it is a breast cancer, it would be late for her to be treated and survive. Can any one give us advice. Breast cancer has killed many women in our village because of ignorance. No one knows how it starts, instead they use other herbal medicines untill it is worse and kill them. I would like to save life of my beloved sister. What can I do?

Going to a doctor is a good first step.

I hope it is an infection and your worries are wrong. If she does have cancer you will be a great support person.

    Fists up!

Dear Much Pain, I hope you have gotten her to a doctor by now and it is just an infection which sounds like it could be that as easy as something else more serious....Antibiotics and proper treatment for an infection. If not get her to best breast hospital that you can...there is hope!!! Please let us know what is happening.. we would love to hear good news!!!!

Saying prayer for you and your sister. If it does, heaven forbid, turn out to be BC - don't give up hope, they can do so much more to treat it than before.
