Poor you Blu! Hopefully the call will come tomorrow!
-
Thanks Momma Cowgirl.
*sniff, sneeze, cough*
I hope I feel better soon. -
You know Hot sauce would clear that right up!
-
Poor sweetie!
Get yourself in bed, I will bring you some soup and
hot tea and lemon~
hugs~ -
Neuro called this afternoon (5:08) and I missed the call being in bed and all. I called them back 2 minutes later and couldn't get through because the office was closed. I'll call tomorrow and see what they want this time.
Mom is doing very well. I talked to her this evening and she sounds like her old self. She sees the Rad doc tomorrow and will schedule her treatments.
She offered to make me dinner and take care of me, but I told her it would cost to much to FedEx her up here. Besides, she shouldn't miss her appts.
Momma Carrie -- Thanks for the soup and tea. I hope it starts working soon! -
Worried about you, have you gotten a hold of anyone yet?
-
I called Neruo today. The assistant/twit said the doc sees no need for further testing. That's all well and good, but it doesn't get me any closer to a solution.
I feel better, but not well. My temp is back up to semi-normal (had been 96.6 for 3 days ) and I'm not coughing as much. Although I went into work today and half and hour later my boss and my good friend Erin both threatened to call campus police to escort me off the premises if I didn't go home. I put up the appropriate objections and gave in quickly. I guess they like me or something.
Anyway, I called my IM to ask if there is anything I should be doing with my temp so low. He said to continue the decongestants and Tylenol for a couple more days and call if I don't feel better. Why is it docs always want you to wait a couple of days even though you've already been waiting a couple of days? Anyway, I figure if I'm not close to top notch by Wednesday night, I'm calling Thursday first thing -- I've got that interview Friday.
Pray I get through tomorrow's classes without too much trouble. -
Blu,
I am praying for you, you are too sick to work. I am sure they didn't want to get it either. Maybe your IM can give you something before Friday to get you perked up!
So sorry you are sick!!!! -
So I'm thinking about switching IMs.
I went today after almost passing out between classes yesterday (right in front of my boss no less). After I told the IM "yes, I know I'm dehydrated" he did a chest x-ray to prove I don't have pnemonia and told me to drink more water. I did complain that drinking or eating making my stomach cramp. To that, he gave me some ulcer meds. Why should I have an ulcer? I'm not under any stress! Anyway, I'm much better -- sort of.
Mom is doing well. She got her rad tattoos today. She is more convinced than ever she doesn't want some "creepy guy at the beach" doing one on her. She should start therapy Tuesday or Thursday next week and be finished by the first of July.
I got a fortune cookie that says "You will enjoy good health." I sure hope that means from now on! -
Woohoo remember that fortune! Forget the dang dr, I am thinking you need to change Blu!
-
Blu ,
I meant to post to to yesterday, sorry.
I was going to say the same thing CG said!
Time for a new Doctor.
Creepy guy at the beach lol! I am going to try and find the nukem boobies camp song for you to send Mom.
If anyone reading this knows where it is would you please post it for Blu's Mom ? Or post a link?
Hugs,
Carrie -
Mom is doing better today. She had rough night, though. She and dad went out to eat yesterday to eat Italian. She had something that resembled meatloaf and pasta. Apparently, she's not up to all the garlic they put in the sauce or the meatloaf stuff. She had awful acid stomache all night!
Momma Carrie -- I'd love to hear the song! As for a new doc, I'll look as soon as finals are over (May 10th). I've got too many other things occupying my attention until then. I decided this yesterday after he asked if I got a lot of attention by almost passing out. Does he think I'm doing this for fun?!?
*breathe in . . . breathe out*
Anyway, I feel much better today. I have a headache but I think it's more a tension headache. My last day of class at WashU is today, so that's one less thing I have to worry about.
Oh! My interview went well. They kept saying things like "When you come in to work . . . " and such. I should know something by next week.
I got in at SIUE for summer school. I have to go to campus to register, but it should be no problem. The problem is finding time to get there.
Well, I've got to run get something ot eat before I go to class. Have a wonderful day!! -
Ifound it!!
(sung to the tune of hello mother hello father)
Uncle Harry, Dear Aunt Ruby
Here I am at Nukemboobie
Camp is very, very draining
And my poor arm is so sore from all the straining!
Ive been chemic- ally neutered
My only passions my computer
If I could get a little thinner
Maybe I could get a guy to buy me dinner!
All the counselors think Im crazy
Cuz Im feeling rather lazy
Laying chest-bare on the table
Wouldnt get up even if I were still able!
Now dont let my red rash scare ya
My nurse says use Aloe Vera
So my boobs out- what the heck?
Hey whats that- oh its a tattoo on my neck!
Take me home, my dear Aunt Ruby!
Take me home, theyve burned my boobie!
Dont leave me up on this table
Cold and with my booby hanging free!
Take me home! I promise I will not
wear a bra or use deodorant
And they are saying thirty-two more
Until Im out the door!
Dear Aunt Ruby, Uncle Harry
Nukemboobies gettin scary
With my cornstarch and my turban
All I want is to go home and swig some bourbon!
they say their gonna boost me, whew
xrays, felt pens, black, green, and blue
bulls eye center a fine tattoo
Oh Mama Mia please whatever can I do
Wait a minute! There's a website!
With a support group I'm not so up-tight
Singing songs and writing letters!
Camp Nukem, thank-you! I am feeling better!
hugs,
Carrie -
Momma Carrie -- That's hilarious! I sent it on to mom!
We've had our power out more than on the last 2 days and I know the board has been down, but I'm sorry I haven't posted.
Saturday I ended up in the ER for 4.5 hours with breast pain so bad I couldn't lift my arm.:o The doc determined it was not chest or heart pain, gave me percocet and IV fluids and told me to follow-up with my GYN. I just want to make it through finals next week! I've already missed a week's worth of classes form being sick and now this! I've got an exam Monday for which I was only in class for the material 1 out of 4 days. I've got study material, but am not sure I understand half of it.
And so it goes. *sigh* -
Blu,
Sorry I did'nt see you posted the new post don't show on my computer yet Hope the exams went well. keep me posted about the GYN okay.
hugs,
Carrie -
Geez!!! Blu! But maybe by going to the ER you can get some help from the GYNO! There has to be something causing this!!!
Glad you "took" some time off, the flu gets better if you rest! -
Daniel contiues to make everyoone laugh. He had his surgery today (ear) and was a drunken monkey after. But the one thing he kept saying was it was time to go get the Tomcat model he wants. I told him Nana was going to get it for him as soon as she finished her medicine and could come see him, but he insisted that he have it now. No big deal except the one he wants is a 45 minute drive to Scott AFB in the Exchange.
I'm switching docs after finals. I got in to see my GYN yesterday. In more technical words, she told me lots of women have unexplained breast pain and to deal with it.
Needless to say, I'm a little disappointed and down. I'm glad I have the day off with Daniel to work through this. I have the opportunity to focus on him today giving me a little time to get rational about the whole situation.
I don't feel bad today, but I hardly slept for more than one reason.
I hear lots of thunder, so I'd better wrap up. -
Blu I thought I posted to you I am glad you are changing GYNOs there is something that you need to do!
Raining and muggy in my part today, supposed to be this way for three days!
I pray you got rest yesterday! -
Thanks for the post, Cowgirl. I did rest a little, but still not well. I feel good today. I'm sore, but feel good. I'm at work doing special projects for my boss and avoiding studying for finals -- multitasking!
The one thing that has changed is I've lost 15 pounds since the beginning of the year. Most of it has come off in the last month. I'm not worried about it, but it's an interesting development.
Got to get back to work. -
Blu,
You know I am tough mom, you need to study! But I do wish you felt better! -
Yes mom!
I will do some of that this afternoon. I only have one real final -- Monday. I only have to get 66% to keep my A in the class.
I have 2 papers, a take home final, and a quiz left for the other classes. I should have most of it wrapped up by Wednesday next week.
How are you doing? I haven't heard much lately. -
From dad:
Elaine had her first radiation treatment today. It went fine. However, she has not been sleeping much the last week or so and having a lot of hot flashes both day and night. She has been feeling pretty bad because of that. The doctor said she could start taking some of her other medicine that will hopefully alleviate the hot flashes and let her start getting some sleep. She will be having a total of 30 radiation treatments, going everyday weekday, so she should be through with them by June 16th.
We do continue to covet your prayers during these treatments. The side affects won't be as bad as those from the chemo treatments; but, she will have some.
In Christ,
Ronn & Elaine -

Sorry about the double post. It didn't come up for a few minutes the first time around.
-
Blu,
Denise also suffers from hot flashes they were bad and frequent at first, but the futher out from treatment they aren't as frequent. Some of the anti depressants help with these symptoms. Because she is er pos she can't take traditonal herbs and meds for it.
One thing I have heard alot of the ladies talk about are the chill-o-pillow I am not sure where you get this but I will find out for you if she wants one.
Tell Mom to start using her Aloe Vera after every treatment
and not to be suprised if she feels fatigued during this time. Sending prayers for no skin reactions for her and Hugs, Hugs, Hugs to Mom she is almost there!!!
Love and Hugs,
Carrie -
Wow she sounds great to me! Just found out the lady locally that helped me a bit her DH had prostate cancer, they are awaiting his "scan". Boy they have had the trip!
So far so good here in Texas, oldest is attempting dual courses. Which boggles my mind! We are filling out scholarship papers already, awards were today. Man the time is shooting by. We ordered his ring, so he is on his way now!
Shoulder has improved enough to only go once a week to PT, I am working hard. But it takes a lot of time to do it. -
Mom does seem to be doing very well.
Carrie -- The chill-o-pillow sounds interesting. If you can get me more info, that would be great.
Cowgirl -- I'm glad your shoulder is improving. Keep it up! Good luck with the scholarship stuff. -
I am pretty tired right now, FrenchCry is still battling Uninary Calculi, I wish I could get him meds but I have to find some first!
-
FrenchCry is your goat, right? Sorry to hear that. Hope you find the meds fast!
-
I got the meds we are "fixin to" get him medicated tonight. You know the saying "you want a whaaaammmburger and frenchcries with that?" Well he cries a lot, course I would too!
