Good evening, Loungettes! How is every one this evening?
Oooh, What's it like seeing noises, Cammy??????
Goldie--I did not realize how unalive I have been feeling the last 5 years. I think I had forgotten what it was like to actually feel alive and well and happy. I could get used to this! My phone was in my car, I keep forgetting I can take pics with it. FlyLady is a woman who hosts a website devoted to helping SHE (Sidetracked Home Executives) with getting rid of clutter and getting the housework under control. She uses an approach of setting up routines so that things become automatic. She also uses a timer to derail perfectionism--work on something for 15 minutes, when the time goes off do something else. It gets you started and then keeps you from getting overwhelmed. www.flylady.net It's been a lifesaver for me!
BERNIE---HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
ORLA--I could deal with insomnia if my brain would think about random $hit. When I can't sleep my brain focuses on one very scary or upsetting thing and won't let it go!
CynCyn--Concord bus was it. Goes to South Station then on to Logan. The maize may be big, but you can hear the people at the other games and stuff, and you can always put your back to the sun and keep walking through the stalks until you come out. I just really enjoy the fun being "lost" while knowing I'm perfectly safe and can get out any time if I need to. I guess it's the illusion of being lost, really.
TABBY--A weather wimp? What a concept!
DorKable--you are so good at telling drunken stories!
Hey Chrissy! Good to see ya!
BBBBernie= Beautiful Biker Babe Bernie!!!
Cammy--what do you suppose that tattoo will look like in 30 years? And are you sure you want your fever to knock you up?
Hey Undy! Where you been????
I don't have Siri, but I'm thinking about looking into getting a clone of her!
Mema--I did have a lot of fun, in the maize and jumping on the jump pillow! Nothing like being with kids to ensure you have a lot of fun!
Juliet--we nurses do have very odd ways of looking at the world. Saved by the boob is just one of them! Glad she 's doing well. Training in de-escalation is a good thing, but it doesn't solve every problem.
YEAH for seeing that DorKable is through surgery and doing fine!
Juliet--I am the LAST person to say anything about how often you see a doc that you are comfortable with and who treats you well! One who understands scanxiety is a Godsend! Just because my RO was an a$$hole doesn't mean they all are.
DODT--the Pink Mother in Law
1 oz vodka
1 oz gin
1 oz grenadine
1 oz sweet and sour mix
Beer
Mix gin, vodka, grenadine and sour mix together in a shaker. Pour into a collins glass with ice, filling from half to three-quarters full. Top with beer, to taste, and serve.

We got an e-mail from corporate at work today warning about the impeding "megastorm" when Sandy and the cold front met up. I'm going to do the get ready for winter stuff this weekend, been through this stuff before, I'll be just fine. I can get along very, very well without electricity for about a week before it gets to be a problem as long as the temps aren't too cold. If it gets too cold I'll go sleep in my mother's couch. they heat with wood, so they're always warm.
One of the prep for winter things I do is hook up a non-cordless phone, one that doesn't need batteries or power. Anyone living where power outages are common should do this, in case the cell phone batteries die. Also, remember that you can run your car and recharge your cell phone.
OK, done with the safety lecture. Where's my Dwinky??????
