how about drinking?

Oh yummy!! Blue Hawaii!! (I'm sick of red wine tonight anyway so will guzzle this baby down!!!)
Big Ol Drunken Cheeeers, MaDeeeeers. Happy Happy Happy Hour! Now I'm staggering over to that heated pool that looks so nice and calm and...and...and doing a cannon ball off the diving board...SPLASH!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew, that was fun!
-
Thanks for the shower Beans....needed that but couldn't be bothered moving...lol
-
wet CORGI!!!
now look what you started, Beanie!
there goes Liesl!
-
what IS this stuff!?
-
I like the angry wet cat! Does he have fleas too?
all the dogs want some dog beer...
and the cats want dog beers!!
Oh you all have me laughing too much!!!
-
no fleas, please. I bathed my cats a couple of weeks ago and I hope I never see another wet cat as long as I live! You got a lotta pets Beans.
-
Oh good, no more fleas! Those cats and dogs just wanted to go for a swim at the HTL...I never met one of them before, they saw Leisl and the wet corgi and just started barging in! My only pet is Gary the houseplant...I wonder if he wants to jump in too? He's never had any fleas.
All your pics got me looking at photobucket and just cracking up at all the funny pet pics. Then I found this little dear, which makes me think of stagering off to the old beddy-bye too!
-
Has this place gone to the dogs? LOL! Been busy, but caught a few posts, and laffed my a$$ off! Will catch up later.....soooooo later gater. (Oh I loved the Blue Hawaii drink; that was sweet to do that!).
-
Oh MY !!!! I adore the dog in flippers!!!! I actually did buy little tennis shoes for Liesl as she would run around so long on the hot stones around the pool her little paws would bleed. I had to make my kids get out of the pool and go inside so Liesl wouldn't hurt herself. Now that it is too cold - she isn't as thrilled chasing it without all the splashing...
Oh I so want to figure this picture thing out - Those were just wonderful !!!!!
-
ROTFLMAO!!!!! I'd post a pic of my Sadie joining the pups but she moves so fast I can't catch her with the camera!
How about a Wet Dog Drink?
12 oz bee,
4 oz sangria
serve in a pint glass
And I found signs for the Tenders to post just outside the doggy pool:
And for the Dog Beer Lovers:

Well loungies..................I'M HOME! Glad to see you all carrying on with out me! Ha ha! Astorm thanks for the drink (TN Rose). Stanzie, sorry to hear about the bus problems and hope to hear that they were taken care of. I have lots of reading to do, to catch up. I am only on page 335, but thought I better check in. I am not even going to try and reply! Welcome to the new loungies and Happy Belated Birthday to Jodi. I see you all talking about HD and her gun, the picture that everyone was talking about is on the video, along with her implant stabilizer. Here is the link .....AGAIN!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA1oe_ER96s
Y'all need to open it and then put it in your favorites to save it. You can NOT find it by searching YouTube. I have it unlisted, you have to have the link.
Some great pictures and drinks that I have thus far seen and glad that our Ms GreenBeans and Ms Kitty are nearing the end of chemo. When I was doing chemo, it felt like it was never going to end.......and now it's been 2 years! How come that time has gone by so fast!!!!
Well we had a good time, but absolutely not a lick of likker for me while there, until we reached Embassy Suites in Nashville where we stayed the night and then flew out the following morning. Bartenders Special was a Bay Breeze, of which I had SEVERAL! Vodka, Cranberry and Pineapple Juice...........YUM! And cracked a beer as soon as I got home! LOL! DH and MIL are early risers, so I was up by 5 or 6 am every day to get ready for the days adventure. Went to a few flea markets, did some gargage sales, went to VA to visit some of DH's family, went to Dollywood, rode the rollercoaster! Wooooo Hooooooooo.........can't tell you the last time I was on a roller coaster. Was going to do the zip line, but they wanted $45.00 to do that. Shipped 3 boxes of stuff home that we bought at the flea markets and antique shops but had a plate hanger that held 3 plates that wouldn't fit. So I chanced taking them to the airport. I asked when we checked our luggage if I could carry it on, they said no but I could check it. Just that they couldn't be responsible if it got damaged. I said ok.....no biggie if it did. I paid $20 for it and the 3 plates. Well, lo and behold....standing at the luggage carousel, here it comes! You should have seen the looks on peoples faces, quite funny! But it was not damaged in any way. Well, no drinking did not have much of an affect on my hot flashes, at least not enough to warrant NOT drinking!
Well, I am going to grab another cup of coffee and continue reading. Still on EST, so I was up at 4am. I need to get laundry done and get ready for my trip to MI on Nov 5th.
Big HUGS to all Breast Friends xoxox

OMG........page 336 has me cracking up! A little too early for beer but 'bout spewed my coffee all over my lap top!
Here's the prayer, not sure if it's the same one or not....but it'll do!:
Back to reading~
-
I love the Drinker's Prayer! I also just found this one for us caffiene addicts:
Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures:
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
It restoreth my buzz:
It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction,
I will fear no EqualTM:
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of The Starbucks:
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over.
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the House of Mochas forever.
~Author Unknown And here's another version of the Drinker's Prayer The beer drinker's prayer Our beer
Which art in bottles
Hallowed by thy sport
Thy will be drunk I will be drunk
At home as it is in the pub
Give us each day our daily schooners
And forgive us our spillage
As we forgive those who spillest against us
And lead us not into the practice of poofy wine tasting
And deliver us from Tequila
For mine is the bitter
The talent and the footy
Forever and ever

Oh Wow! If you all are not the cleverest of clever! I didn't remember all the pictures in the HTL! Goldie you are truely amazing!!!! Fabulous, fabulous! I didn't know you can have favorites! N. M - love all the prayers!
Thanks a great way to start the morning!
-
Oh my...laughing so much and so early...this will be a great day...HURRAY Goldie is baaaaaaaaaK...so fun to read of your adventures...and see the video again...HD popping in here and there...ROFLMAO...and Liesl in tennies...and all thy humble prayers...NM I just have one question about the Wet Dog Drink (which looks stinky but somehow devilishly delishious) what's 12 oz bee? (j/k)
beard o bees?
-
Don't worry my DH will be home this afternoon to take my obnoxious self off to do laundry (like HD) and cooking and I gotta clean up this place B4 he gets here as I've been a slob on my own.
-
Love it NM! Rolling around on the floor with Beans and Stanzie!
Hey HD.......why don't you ask Junie if you can borrow her dumpster for your garage cleaning.......bwah ha ha ha! LMAO at that one! (J/K of course) but you know that! I just couldn't resist!
Stanzie, do you know how to put things in "favorites"?
-
Going fast for a Wet Dog Drink!
-
OMG, another dog is crashing the HTL! That isn't Sadie is it? She's bigger and faster and doesn't need a raft, am I right?
-
You guys have gone doggone crazy. NO, I am not doing DH laundry! Final! I am having beer and watching football and have control of the remote. HD
-
hd, you go girl! yesterday was baseball day at my house (SF Giants) so I cleared out. I refused to cook and clean my house so DH's friends could come over and eat all the viddles and trash the place. What exciting things did I do when I ran away from home? ... went to Bed Bath & Beyond and bought a steam mop... went to library and studied... went to cafe and ate healthful salad... went to Starbucks and studied some more. Went home and then to HTL. Today will be much the same... study study study. Lori -- that video will most likely be the best 4 minutes of my day. You are sooo creative! Glad you had a great vacation but we missed you here.
Beanie - "bee" is short for beer. "be" is short for beer. "b" is short for beer around here. As opposed to capital "B" for Beanius of course. Love all the dogs but its a good thing we have that special pool just for non-humans.
-
Beanie--12 oz Bee is my anesthesia-brained way of saying Beer. Here in Maine it's pronounces Bee-ah, so I tend to forget there's an "r" on the end!
AStorm--I've been sneaking swims in with the fur babies--is the doggy pool off limits to the humans or the human pool off limitis to the fur babies? I can't remember which direction that goes in. . .
This is what Sadie looks like after getting out of the pool:
-
Thanks for the 'splaining, so in that case I'll have a b...be...bee...bee-ha! BTW - goldie I wanted to say agin how awesome that vid is...so totally fun and creative!!!
(BTW-was feeling low when I got up 2-de-ah, but all you galses (is that a word?) really cheered me up -tanks a million)...Isn't it happy hour now? Big Hugs, B
-
That's what Sundays are for, Beans. I just woke up from a little Kioki coffee induced nap... isn't the caffeine supposed to offset the likker? So much for studying...
-
I had a 12 oz bee one time....at the golf course. He got in my beer bottle out on course. Little miscreant thought I was will to share I guess. I returned to the golf cart and took a big swill...and whoa...glad he didn't get the chance to sting. Bet the little worker bee got pretty drunk in my intestines. Instant drowning...I have heard that is not that bad of a way to go. WB Lori. Why are there dog bisquits next to the nachos here? cHairs
-
Did someone say 'biscuit'? Wiener-dog's ears just perked up and the corgi is salivating!
Is this what you are seeing next to the nachos?
Dog Biscuit
Ingredients
1/2 oz Beer
1/2 oz Cinnamon Schnapps
1/2 oz Irish Cream
1 oz 7-Up
Dog Biscuit Directions
Pour all ingredients on the rocks. Stir.
Serve Dog Biscuit in a Collins Glass
Serve with freshly baked hot chocolate chips cookies.
Take another nap.
... I'm going to need to make a run to BevMo. Haven't added anything to my coffee in over a year and my supplies are low... no Bailey's... just finished the last of the good brandy... and where is my Irish whiskey? Our first storm of the season has caught me woefully unprepared.
-
Glad the wiener perked up. Oh, and about studying AStorm..what is that? I thought once you knew y=a+bx.....you have the world by the "b's"! Oh, you people are so funny. DH is now starting to unload as it has been pouring rain here since yesterday afternoon. Still is....think he is just moving things from truck to garage. Gives me a nice chance for some shots at the HTL and I am certinly going to try the last drink! Hdory
-
Oh I'm so glad someone asked about the Bee. I thought I was just not up on the lastest drinks! LOL!!! N.M. you are just so funny!
So, yesterday I planted some pansies around my pool. Today went to see if the red pepper I sprinkled in was keeping the critters out and nope not working... Anyway, got out the hose to give them a little drink and Liesl was standing near the steps waiting for Dewey to come up to the edge well the hose got stuick and whoops popped Liesl in the pool! I felt so bad!!! But she seemed pretty happy about it.
-

Stanzie - we must have jinxed Liesl with all those wet dog pics and drinks! Did you take a picture?
