Oh shoot there are two of them as well. And huge!!! Well I'll keep trying and delete one. Sorry.
-
LOL...What a beautiful, sweet dog!!! No probs, now you are really one of the gang....we have all (well I have at least) posted something double!! Thanks for letting us see what she looks like! Since you don't have an avatar pic, you could always use the pic of Liesl.
Wow...you got the size smaller! Now its just perfect!!! Way to go!
-
Opps didn't realize they are connected. Well, there she is! My first child and the one who keeps me sane and happy. She will be 15 next Sunday! I'll get better on the sizes I promise now to look back on how to do pictures from the internet so I can do my job for Tuesday!
Kathy - safe trip tomorrow so looking forward to meeting! We will have to take pictures to post!
-
Stanzie...she is so cute. Not too big at all. Good job! She is 15 years old? Glad you posted...XXOO HD
-
Oh, I guess I didn't know there really was two pics....I am used to seeing double. Usually they are in the side by side mode though....LOL! HD
-
HD - nice instructions. As a consultant I often write instructions for my clients with screen shots and they are so impressed but they still call me cuz they don't like to read the directions.
Lori - wow, how sweet of your DH to plan a surprise weekend! We had such a weekend maaaany years ago. In fact, it was our anniversary and I was very pregnant (less than 2 weeks before delivery of an almost 10# baby in the middle of a hot August). I thought we were going out to dinner but when we dropped off our 2 YO at the sitter's, he told her we would see her tomorrow. I said I couldn't possibly go anywhere, I was just too uncomfortable in the car and I hadn't packed a bag. He actually packed for me and after a really nice dinner we spent the night at the historic hotel right above the restaurant. I spent most of the evening in the jacuzzi tub looking like a beached whale but it was a really nice break from parenting before the baby came.
Kathy - nice! My first phrase in French was "Premier classe, s'il vous plait!"
-
Stanzie - what a sweet dog! looks like maybe a long-hair dachshund?
-
Very OT...but who was it that was thinking of getting a new vacuum cleaner? Frys has the Dyson DC17 (their item #5778272), refurbished for $199.99, pickup only though. You can find it on their website. IF we had a Fry's near us, I would get this for upstairs. Stanzie, if it was you that wanted one, they do have it in stock at the Duluth store. Or, AStorm was it you that wanted one? Sorry I can't remember, and really don't want to go back a gazillion pages to find out!
Junie, Keep enjoying those grandkids and your DD! Hope you can rest, maybe a minute, between visitors....keep that ML truck parked out front, just in case.
-
Wow! So much goin' on today. DH had me runnin' around all day, but I'll be baaaaaaaack tomorrow. ChairSSSSSS!
-
Sounds like everyone is having a fun weekend! Lori - that is so cool that your hubby is surprising you! How fun!!! Mine would do that and it would be an ATV weekend! LOL!! Wahine - have fun on your vacation, too! Send us pics of St Thomas.
I had a glass of wine tonight (first one post chemo). Woo Hoo! Now I'm tired and will probably go to bed! What a lightweight I am! Chairs!
-
Oh good they don't look as big as when I first posted. Yes she is a long haired dachsund and she is the sweetest little girl. I am totally nuts over her.
HD - thank you again for instructions - I would Never in a million years have figured that out!!! Thank you.
-
-
AStorm, Awwwww.....your puppy is soooo cute! Thanks for sharing his pic.
Heather, Bet you really enjoyed that glass of wine! Nice to see that you are tolerating chemo so well. I didn't have chemo or rads, so have nooooooo idea of what is involved. Glad you can drink!
Chairs to all,
Kathy

Just dropping by for breakfast. We ended up in Phoenix at our favorite Embassy. But we got the deluxe suite. I have a video! Some of its dark, but you can see how nice the room is. 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. Our friends came over with their daughter and her girlfriend. So they went swimming and hung out in the 2nd bedroom to watch tv. Darrell wanted to get with our friend (George), who does our shipping down here at our warehouse and go over some business stuff. Think I will go out and do a little shopping then go visit with George's wife.
I see we have 2 more poochies to play at the new Pooch Park here at The HTL.
Photos that you find on the internet, you can usually just copy and paste those right in. Don't need to use the tree icon or anything. But you can not copy and paste pictures from your computer. And you have to click the button thats ALLOW ACCESS, from that clip board or what ever it is.
Here's the room, hope everyone is having a great weekend.
-
goldie - I just love the watermelon margaritas, great job!! Hope you have a fantastic weekend, sounds so fun.
wahine - Hope you have a great trip to St. Thomas! It was me with the vacuum problem and again, I have put off doing anything about it and still have my old, broken thing. Did I mention DH bungie corded it to keep the front where the bag is from flopping open. I looked at Dyson's on overstock.com and found one for $219, then realized it was a handheld. So, I continue to suffer. There's no one to blame but myself.
jaybird - Happy Birthday to you tomorrow!
HD - So glad you popped in again! Always fun to hear from you! Wow you have some fancy equipment, please start the testing right away, I need all the tests I can get, but I only take good news. You gave a beautiful photo posting lesson, even I learned something new.
kittycat - Glad you're doing so well! My chemo plan is an oldie, ya know, my fam and I were discussing we think it's the same thing my mom got back in the mid-late 70's, it was tough but she handled it. I think it's about 3 weeks after chemo to start rads, sounds like you're looking forward...hope you can get to your sister's wedding.
Junie - great advice on the airports...wow, I bet that flight attendant felt like an idiot. Have fun with the grandkids and keep cool!
Stanzie - Your puppy is soooooooo cute, what a sweetie. No way is she 15! Good job posting!
miloryder - cool we have a biker chick at the bar - tee hee! I love yellow labs, that is a cute name you came up with. Sounds like you have been through sooooo much, and I so appreciate the words, "this is all doable" as I have so much coming ahead, it helps so much to know brave ladies who have gotten through with flying colors and are back at the bar to enjoy life. BTW how was the Spanish wine tasting?
AStorm - you have an adorable weiner dog. My DS has one too, they are so sweet.
Sounds like we need a doggy drink for the day and I found the perfect recipe, it's called:
The Blue Weinerdog
1 ounces Whiskey
3 ounces Sweet & Sour Mix
1 ounce Club Soda
1 dash Blue CuraçaoFill a collins glass with ice. Add one shot of whiskey and fill with 3/4 sour mix and 1/4 club soda. Float Blue Curacao.
Chairs to all you beautiful loungie ladies and Happy Saturday!
-
Thanks for allowing the long post. As a newbie I felt the need to put my situation out there and it is done. I love the fact that this is a fun site and not so much talk about "it". I am so much more than "BC" and I"m so blessed to have friends and family that have allowed me to continue to just be me and I look forward to knowing you better. I will raise my glass of '04 Jeff Renquist to each and everyone and challange you to have the best weekend ever!
-
miloryder - I love this bar and the gals are just fun, fun, fun (and I haven't been booted yet for being too drunk or too whiney - yeah!)... BTW can I steel a swig of your '04 Jeff Renquist? Sounds nice!!
-
I'm heading today with a girlfriend for some Mexican food and more importantly some tequilla.
Bottoms up and hope everyone is having a fantastic Sat!!
-
Good Afternoon All! Greetings and best wishes to all. I got to thinkin'.....ya, I know...probably not good. I'll bet JB started celebrating her birthday early! So, being the sleeper-inner I am on Sundays, I just wanted to post my Birthday Wishes Early! Happy Birthday Jaybird....and hugs to Avery! HD
-
why would anyone that has been treated for breast cancer drink alcohol? I don't understand that kind of stupidity.
-
Just dumb I guess...
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAYBIRD (early too)
-
Beans, VERY good response (you know what I mean)!!! This is our lounge, and we will enjoy it, regardless!!! Sorry you weren't able to get the refurb dyson from frys....seemed like a good deal. SOMEDAY you will get the one you want, and at least your other one is jerry-rigged to work! And I just love your BLUE WEINER DOG drink!!! Purrfect!
LORI, How nice to get such nice rooms. I can't see the vid right now, but will look at it when we return home....prob have to go back pages and pages to find it then! Sounds like a fun vaca and very relaxing.....super!
Sounds like some good wine, miloryder! Yeah, it is nice to escape from the big BC here....and hang out and have fun, while still supporting each other and keeping up with everyone's procedures. Fun place and good therapy!
Stanzie, I will try to reach you in a few minutes. We JUST got to Hotlanta, and DH is already taking a nap, so wanted to get on here and say hi to everyone, and will SEE YOU SOON...yay!!
Isn't anyone planning a big PARTAY for Jaybird's b'day???? I don't know how much I can get on the puter while we are gone, and sounds like Lori is busy too.....ummmmm HD you did such a nice birthday post for jaybird, do you wanna start her party tomorrow? -
Happy birthday, Jaybird! Nice cake, Beanie. Nice to see you, Dee.
Apparently somone doesn't get it. What's to understand? Some of us like to get stupid. Others are just born that way.
-
Hey ladies, why would anyone that has been treated for breast cancer... oh, eat desert? Talk on a cell phone? Not become a marathon runner? Or a vegan? Ooh, here's a good one... why would anyone that has been treated for breast cancer wear deodorant?! haha...!! And when you think about it, why does anyone set foot in a car day after day?!
Allow me to answer this question...because we have to LIVE!!! We know better than anyone how precious life is, and it's not the years in your life, but the LIFE in your years!! Here's a toast to making the most of BOTH!!!
-
How much is that doggie on the runway? LOL!
